Check the shock absorbers they might be worn otherwise the speed sensor might be gone too

The old-fashioned washers didn't have this issue. You just throw it in and boom its done. All these new washers are to sensitive and just meant for repairs. Thanks for the great info.

yes sadly true new ones are very sensitive. Lg washers tend to be better though

Awesome video man thanks. My question is, after I replace the two bearings for the drum my machine doesnt want to go into the fast spin cycle it gors clockwise and counterclockwise trying to balance load without success.i tried it with an empty drum and same problem. Could i have installed the drum wrong????? I was ultra careful putting it back together. Thanks buddy

What if after doing all as directed in the video the UE code persists? The load of a heavy towel, thus very heavy when wet, will wash fine but UE code appears when tries to go into spin cycle. First load to activate the code included a medium sized blanket with the towel. Have washed these items separately & together in the past. If have gotten UE code in past went through these steps and it cleared,

I fill my washing machine, leaving about 4-5" between the top of the drum and the top of the dry clothes. Saves a lot of water, power, and soap. Never had the machine failed for 12 years. I'm also sure, the savings will pay for my next washing machine.

I recently chaned the drain pump because of the de error and it now drains properly. Since then the cycles work properly and have checked all of the balance situations as you commented on but at the end of every spin cycle I still get the UE error. I then have to run another spin cycle or 2 to finsh the load. It also seems to not get all of the soap out. Any clues. The diagnostics check out well when you press the soil spin buttons.

Hi. in my experience it is an issue with the motor if ue error persists. How long have you had your washer ? There is 10 years warranty on that direct drive motor so you could give Lg a ring and see if they can send you a new motor. I had bearings go out on mine and grinding, then it started throwing a UE code instead of spinning so I replaced the spider and the lower/rear tub that had the bearings. I also replaced all 3 shocks. Now it stopped making the grinding sound but I'm still getting the UE error. When I took the rotor and stator out, I noticed a chunk of the magnet on the rotor had been broken out, about 1" square (2.5cm) Could that be causing the UE error or should I be looking elsewhere? It runs through the wash cycle with no problems at all, but it always gets the error code instead of the high-speed spin at the end of the cycle. (or any spin at the end of the cycle) Please help me.

WM1812CW Endless UE after replacing main bearings, water seal and spider arm. Replaced Hall sensor. Made sure all drain lines are fully open. Changed all 3 shocks. Ran machine empty (no items in washer) through rinse and spin several times. In order to eliminate a variable, I Drained residual water from bottom at pump, then continued the cycle at "MIN 10". Motor always spins slowly left and right through the balance check phase; then throws UE at "MIN 10". Can see Rotor wobble in and out about 1/8 inch when restarting after a "MIN 10" cycle stop. Have restarted cycle after MIN 10 shutdown numerous times, each time the basket is empty and the whole system is devoid of water. I do not know what sensor is dedicated to detecting a balance problem, or if not a sensor, how the motor could throw a UE. If there was a test manual, it would help. Motor stator and rotor have residual rust deposits from the leaking main bearing seal. It does not make sense to me how this residual material could affect motor, stator, rotor or sensor operation, as it was dirtier before the bearing repair and washed many cycles of clothing for months before it became obviously noisy, telling us the bearing and seal had failed.
