Dear Paul, thanks for the reply. I have changed the pump and this has definitely fixed the problem. It was showing the OE fault code but the reason I believed it was not the pump was that it was an intermittent problem, that is it was pumping at times during the cycle but usually not before the final spin thus complicating the diagnosis. I took the old pump out and connected it to the mains and repeatedly turned it on and off. And bingo! at times it turned round and sometimes it dit not. Then I saw that the spindle (connecting the motor and the impellor) was loose in the housing. When the pump turned I could tell that it was "rattling" and not turning smoothly. A new pump has solved it! Cheers

Hi Paul, excellent video! Would you have an idea on how to "bench test" an LG pressure switch? I have a new and a "bad", but all I can find is between Pins 1 and 3, the resistance must be between 21-23 plus or minus 10%, which they are. I think I need to test the frequency, but am struggling with the setup. I don't have access to the washing machine, but have stuff like power supplies, multimeters, and an oscilloscope. Thank you!

I received no error and the machine kept filling and overflowed. I had to turn off the water supply and run it through rinse spin to get it to drain. It was again to spin and drain. What could this be?

It was “able” to spin and drain.

You may have one of two problems either the pipe going to the pressure switch may have a perforation hole in it. You could have a stock water valve or possibly the pressure switche failed.

Dear Paul, your videos have given me much insight into my LG washing machine but it is still just driving me nuts. Giving the OE error always at the beginning of the final centrifuge cycle, that is always 15 minutes before the end of the cycles. I have tried everything, stripped it down, checked all the hoses, they are clear. Taken the pump off which pumps fine until it gets to 15 minutes before the end of the wash. Checked the level sensor tube, can blow through it. I have let the machine run with vinegar mixture in an attempt to clean it. After dismantling it seemed cured but now (4 weeks later) has the same symptoms. What on earth can I try next. Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers, The Netherlands

If the machine is stopping when it's full of water and you know the impeller is turning freely then all I can think is the pump

Don't know if this helps anyone but my LG washer's diag mode is entered by Holding Spin Speed and Soil Level together while turning the machine on.
