I've owned this washer since new in 2017. It's been a pleasure to own. I love this machine. It's very gentle on the clothes and excellent at stain removal.

LG has to make one of the best spray rinses for a top loader i've ever seen

I’ve had an LG front load washer since 2014. My mom wanted a top loader like this one but I wanted a front loader. We’ve decided that we will get a top loader when the front loader goes out. The front loader is nice because it uses less water but we are tired of bending over to get the clothes out. I’m glad this top loader uses less water.

I just ordered the same one with the 5.5 tub and wanted to see it in action. Great rollover even with less water. Thanks for posting bro!

If you want more water press and hold extra rinse for three seconds and you can keep doing that over and over and over again until the tub is full of water

This washer actually has a dedicated button for that, labelled "Water Plus". Ive found it to be very useful. This time i let it run on extra low water for the camera and because i was curious how well it would perform. Turns out, it works great with this little water!

When the cycle finishes, do you flip the clothes over to do the other side?

We consumers seem to have pretty low standards now for what makes a "good" washing machine now. Some of us are old enough to remember washing machines that actually thoroughly washed and rinsed clothes.
@ArmandConiglio-b3hАй бұрын
Yes!!! A proper agitator top loader that fills with water, or an older-style front loader that also uses enough water, will thoroughly agitate every square inch of clothing in the drum repeatedly over the course of the cycle. These impeller washers, even when filled with extra water, cannot generate sufficient turnover and agitation. Terrible waste materials and water, despite being "HE."

I think these machines with the locked drum are superior to the new TurboDrum models. I wish it had used a bit more water for this cycle, however.
@nhrawashervideos65672 жыл бұрын
It was rather low this go around. I let it go a little low just for the camera. Usually I'd use the water plus feature in this scenario.
@Leafy597 Жыл бұрын
I agree. We had one of the locked drum machines previously, and now we have a turbodrum 3d machine. It was much better

I was surprised to see how little water it used. I expected the LG to use just a bit more. Does this model have the water plus feature?
@nhrawashervideos65672 жыл бұрын
It does. It cleans fine for how much water it uses as I've discovered. The water plus feature is nice for bulky items and sheets I've found since I dislike the bedding cycle.
@nhrawashervideos65672 жыл бұрын
It's also nice because you can use the feature repeatedly. You can make it fill full if you really want.
@petermaz7012 жыл бұрын
@@nhrawashervideos6567 May I ask why you dislike the bedding cycle? My sister uses it all the time for her bedding and to let the tub fill up.
@nhrawashervideos65672 жыл бұрын
@@petermaz701 I've found absolutely no rollover in the cycle. It seems to use far too much water which causes the machine to have no friction with the clothes and be unable to turn them over.

@@nhrawashervideos6567 You’re right I noticed that with a lot of the videos that I watched online the wash plate washers have a hard time when they’re filled all the way up with water and large loads.

why is the normal cycle 56 instead of 58?

Not sure. That's just how this unit was programmed. if you set it to cold with extra high spin I believe it extends it to 1:06

I hate how tiny the shaft for this massive washplate is… that tiny shaft can just snap at any time…
@nhrawashervideos65672 жыл бұрын
It is an issue. LG has tried to combat this, if you add too much laundry the washer will go into a reduced power mode called motor protection mode. It sacrifices a ton of wash performance but it only does it if you overload it pretty good. That's why I try not to fill it full.

The LG machines are prolly the best top load high efficiency machines you can buy today, but in my opinion. Ofc this machine seems to be working well. Stay away, get a good quality front loading machine. Or my personal favorite, the classic direct drive!! I’ve had experience wit everything, high efficiency General Electric top loader to a direct drive, a Samsung front loader and now back to a Kenmore elite direct drive! And yes the Samsung and GE did ok.. the direct drives are king for performance and durability. We don’t pay for water, having a well. So water usage is the least of my concern, it’s performance!!!!
@abgamer6611 Жыл бұрын
I prefer front loaders better then top loaders bc 1 they clean more effectively and 2 the spin speed is much higher then top loaders.
