This worked, but a few of snags. First, I couldn't use a Yahoo account and had to use an Outlook. Second, my version of Chrome was very old and wouldn't give me the prompt to open the APK once downloaded - my workaround was to e-mail the Outlook account the APK files and just open them through the e-mail on the phone. Third, I did have the issue where I was stuck on checking for updates on the final step before landing in the OS, but toggling the wi-fi off and going back and forward fixed it as you suggested. My phone will not log into gmail the way you instructed. I can add the email selecting the email button instead of gmail but this does not get me to the settings I need. When trying to add my yahoo acct to gmail selection it just sets in a never ending spin and never opens the email up so I can select settings. Please Help.

This happened to me. Simply download the APK from a computer and e-mail it to the Outlook account you used in the previous step as an attachment.
