My last build I made for myself was in 2008. Since I got married in 2012 I have built one other machine which was for my wife which got handed down to me once she decided to go to a laptop. My 2008 machine ran until 2019 so 11 years, This machine here is from 2014 so 8 years old now and its about time for an upgrade so I started doing research on parts because even if I cannot afford to buy every part I want all at once Its good to know what I would like in my build to be able to start saving for it. There is a part of me that misses that old 2008 build hahaha 4870x2 8 gigs of ddr2 which people called me crazy for 2tb of HDD which was massive at the time Things like this were not really so much of an option back then nor was RGB like it is today hence why I thought I ought to "Bling" up this next build unlike the last one which was Pure blue all the time and only lights on the case fans in his Antech 1200 which after 11 years half of them had died and been replaced at least once with cheap no led models.

3:17 "As far as the orientation of the hoses go, it doesn't really matter". This is not true and is misleading. Gamers Nexus did an extensive video on where to place the radiator in regards to the CPU as well as the location of the hoses/tubes. Incorrectly installing the AIO is bad in regards to acoustics and in regards to the lifespan of the product itself. If the AIO was installed correctly the pump and AIO can result in an AIO lasting longer with less noise from the pump.

They are now included. Just got the H170i Elite LCD model and they came with screws for 1700

@@JSRJS nice, but h170i is a 2022 model, so they are supposed to put it in the box. h150i is older, looks like one way to get it is to order separately.

@@reflexion_ that sucks. Amazing that a massive company like Corsair has trouble with 2 screws.

Hi i am planning to buy this cooler but do they all come with the pre-applied thermal paste ? Is it ok if i still apply more thermal paste on top of the cpu before installing the cooler ?
@KLEEBZTECH2 жыл бұрын
If you want to apply your own, remove the pre-applied thermal paste first. You do not want to do both.

I have ordered the black version with 3 fans from amazon. Different sources tell that I had to buy LGA1700 standoffs separately, but in your video they come with the cooler. Do you know if they will be included or not?
@KLEEBZTECH2 жыл бұрын
We ordered ours through Amazon and it specifically stated that it included the LGA 1700 bracket when we purchased it back in February. I can't guarantee that it will be included unless they specify it somewhere

@@KLEEBZTECH thank you for answering! I’ll share my experience when I get the cooler so non of you face this problem.

If you need a kit. I bought the Full kit from Corsair's website for the LGA1700 mount. Part# CW-8960093

is lga1700 retrofit kit already inside the box? or should i buy it separately?
@KLEEBZTECH2 жыл бұрын
Based on comments it appears that most people are getting it included now.

I have a 12900k and the H150i with the LGA 1700 standoffs and I am getting really bad temps (55c idle, over 80c in games) I’ve re-pasted and re mounted 3 times and it’s actually gotten worse lol. I’m not sure if the H150i makes proper contact even with the new stand offs, what are your thoughts? I have plenty of airflow etc so I do not believe that is the issue
@KLEEBZTECH2 жыл бұрын
The 12900k runs very warm, and the LGA 1700 chips have also been shown to not have the best mounting pressure regardless of the CPU cooler. Honestly 80 is quite warm but not alarming in my opinion. Anything you can do to help move air through the radiator could be beneficial but that chip just runs like a sauna

So it looks like you had the fans installed incorrectly at the beginning? Why did you not address that in tbe video? Seems like you ended up turning them back around.
@KLEEBZTECH Жыл бұрын
Fans can go either way as we talk about in the beginning of the video. There is no incorrect way. Depends on how you want air to flow.
