Bloody brilliant video Barry! Never knew how tight roads can be until now 😮 this is why your are brilliant at posting these videos as you show people like me a new young car driver what it’s like for HGVs and how I can help them in these situations.

I used to deliver to appletreewick, burnsall and Bolton abbey pubs with a 7.5T years ago. When i saw you heading towards grassington over the bridge I thought good luck with that. 🤣. Cheers for the upload.

Oh man, I was gutted for ya when you missed that laybye with the butty van in, especially after watching the mission you had getting out of that spot, it looked like it would have been a ballache in a car, never mind an artic! Nicely done there, just keep going 👍👍

Although I am from Nelson in Lancashire originally, I now live and have a business in Skipton. Had you turned left in Burnsall for Bolton Abbey you would have been well and truly screwed, stuck and with a very long reverse all the way back to Burnsall and blindside reverse back onto the bridge in order to make the right turn you actually made. And that is because at Bolton Abbey, there is a narrow (about 7ft 6inches wide) and not very tall (10ft 9inch) stone built arched wall that goes across the road. Do not be tempted to turn off A59 at the roundabout for Burnsall passing through Bolton Abbey in anything bigger than a Ford Transit van. brings back memories of my agency driving days when I used to drive rigids and artics.

At 11:38 I was in a similar situation some months ago, negotiating through the Bower Hinton village(twatticus navigus told me to do it, it weren't my fault!) to the delivery in Martock near Yeovil on the A303 - one inch either side typically parked SUV's and transit vans - cinched it! :)

It always amazes me that when these car drivers see you coming, they just stop like a frightened rabbit caught in the lights, and sit looking at you expecting you to perform a miracle. Not one of em has the sense to try and reverse in a straight line to the nearest wide spot and let you through. I'm sure some people get their licence out of serial cornflakes box

Hi Barry quality reverse I am not a professional driver have quite a bit driving artics but you would think in this day and age due to health and safety these premises should be more driver friendly ok I understand they may not have a lot of space but at least have a bit more consideration for drivers, could you've imagine a new young driver going in there?? he or she would've had given up regards and best 🚛🚛🎥🚚🏴🇬🇧
