Sorry for your loss but you must be so proud of such a musical genius and by all accounts a pure gentleman. He made those pipes sound so sweet and played with true passion and emotion. Yet he seemed so calm and composed while playing. We wont see his likes again in our lifetime.

He was truly a force of inspiration to his fellow Uilleann Pipers. Thank you Liam ! Your beautiful contribution to TRAD will live on to inspire generations! Rest In Peace !

RIP Liam Og O'Flynn. The world's greatest piper and the world's greatest guitarist! There never was a more appropriate time to play Mark's beautiful tune "A Piper To The End" See it here on KZbin" Today we lost two great human beings, LIam and Stephen Hawkins - They made this world a better place.
@jackfletcher10006 жыл бұрын
I agree completely that Liam Og was the best piper in the world, but to call Mark the best guitarist in the world is akin to calling Rolf Harris the best artist in the world. I take it that you have never heard Segovia , John Williams or Julian Bream, to name but a few.

Who is Stephan Hawkins, is he perhaps the father of Jim Hawkins of Treasure Island fame. The was a chancer called Stephan Hawkings who wrote a load of cobblers, that the media picked up on because he was in a wheelchair, maybe thats who you mean
