I disagree. Liam looks great. Zac has had so much done it's impossible to say what was done - he had his nose done multiple times and jaw done once with a huge implant. That's the difference - Liam looks great with only a few nose jobs/shaves like me and a new jaw, Zac looks strange due to too many surgeries plus fat transfers. I think people should stop talking about fillers - any person with means will not resort to a filler.

I think the trend we're seeing for both men and women is not necessarily to look more beautiful but to have a specific look or to make an impact with your looks. On one hand, I think that plastic surgery should be used to make you look like the best version of yourself, rather than to make you look like someone else and it's sad to see people looking like a completely different person. On the other hand, I do think that this is a first step to people accepting a wider range of beauty traits

I will shout this from the rooftops if it saves just one person from literally paying a surgeon mess up their face! Your face WILL CHANGE as you age and mature, in ways you or your family may not even expect. I walked around with a round moon face until I was close to 30!! Even then, my face, jawline, and cheekbones were still developing into my early 30s. My face is faaaaaaaaaarrrrr more angular now than anyone would have ever guessed it would be. Had I had any buccal fat removed, implants, etc - I’d be looking like a crazy evil scarecrow from hell right now. Even the best surgeons in the world make mistakes. Every human body is different and we are still have so much to learn in regards to medicine in general. It’s expensive, there’s often unanticipated complications, risks, and plastic surgery isn’t even close to a magic bullet. Please, please please, let yourself fully grow into your adult form before you go making any life altering changes to your face/body.

He made himself look gaunt and older for his age. He already did because of his smoking and drinking, but now it's even older with the gaunt cheeks and enlarging of the jaw-chin ends. It made a more rectangular head that was already rectangular. He's still handsome, but these procedures weren't the best ones. Laser or skin resurfacing would have helped his smoking damage instead of the exaggeration of his sagging jowel/ smile line area.

Male beauty standards are insane. Men abuse multiple hormones destroying their endocrine system and masculinising their head to look lean and muscular. Add to this the hours upon hours of training and eating perfect diets to retain muscle tissue. I think this is just as much or even more extreme than what women are doing.

Almost all girls when I was growing up (10-20) were obsessed with Justin Bieber, then eventually one direction. I noticed around their mid 20s they switch to liking masculine features/men. In my experience it is very rare to find a woman past 25 who still has a preference for feminine men. I've also seen many studies showing women on hormonal birth control preferring feminine men, but on their natural cycle they prefer masculine looking men. I've read stories online of women on hormonal birth control since they were teenagers eventually stopping their use to start a family and being so unattracted to their husband they end up getting divorced.

I also hated my nose and if I had the money I would changed, what I didn’t know was that my face would change and my nose now fits perfectly to my grow man face , a tiny nose wouldn’t look good with my mature face, sometimes we just need to give some time and only do it if you still think you don’t like something for few years, we make quickly decisions now for stuff that sometimes is permanent

At first, his new face seems so extreme to me but then over the course of your video it started to look more normal. I think we're getting used to seeing artificial faces more than natural. And it's not good for anyone. Don't mean to be critical. But it's sad people who are good-looking feel such a deep need to modify their faces so much. @@rosemaryh.4105 Awww thank you! When I was a teenage girl, I sometimes dropped casual remarks intended to be humorous that I later learned can be quite harmful. When I found out, I felt terrible and vowed to only be supportive from then on. I thought guys had it easier in terms of body image and appearance in general so I had underestimated the level of insecurity that they had/have. Of course that was in the 1990s and there was no social media yet or even the Internet till halfway through the decade. The pressures on guys has become a lot worse, I think. When even the teen actors who played Harry Potter and Frodo Baggins had six pack abs, despite there being no weight training in either of their fictional worlds, it actually reinforced that this is how regular guys are supposed to look. When we look at, for example, James Bond movies starting in the 1960s, the actors were not visibly muscular as that was not a desired look back then. This is also not easy to achieve. Even with rigourous training and an appropriately protein-rich, lean diet, not all guys are going to have that level of definition. I have read that the demand for steroids has increased which is to be expected as the standard for a pleasing male appearance has increased to the point where maybe 5% of guys achieve it. Steroids used to be only for the bodybuilders and elite athletes, who obviously did not want to get caught, but wanted the benefits. Thank you for taking the time to reply to my comment! As an ex-1D fan, Liam was always my favorite next to Louis back then. I really like the softer features of his face, I'm sad he got rid of them, I wouldn't automatically recognize him if I had only seen the after picture. But if that's what he wanted, I hope he's happy with the results, he doesn't look bad, I just...I'm a bit shocked, cause I almost didn't recognize him.

I'm a guy and I feel the pressure of altering my face. I naturally have neotenous features and a small built, and I feel because of that people dont take me seriously. I even tried to lose weight so my face can look sharper yet I always end up looking cute even with short hairdos. I get why Liam did to do that.

My beautiful friend married a soft baby faced, smaller guy she met at church. Now he is in his mid 40's and looks younger (28-30) compared to other middle aged guys. His body has filled out a bit (he works out), so now he has the lean look. Hope this helps.

I prefer a bigger nose (with some exceptions) so I get personally annoyed when people destroy their faces - at least as far as I’m concerned - just to fit in with European beauty standards. But I also understand feeling uncomfortable in one’s own skin and wanting to just blend in with universally pretty people

Big nose person here. I used to hate my nose but over time I just started to love it. I think it gives a certain strength to your face. The Disney princess nose trend also pisses me off. Recently I saw an add of a black women going to Korea to get a nose job and I'm thinking wtf is this in my ads, I don't want to see this. Even people who don't get surgery often contour their face to make it look as small as possible, and I think that can be a dysphoria issue to when they do it every single day. Jennifer gray is a great example of someone who got a nose job and her career suffered from it. Her imperfect nose suited her. My nose is bigger and I hear a lot of Scottish people also have bigger noses, so I feel like it's a tie in to my ancestry that I shouldn't be ashamed of

@@love-ip7sz Yes, I shouldn’t have said “European,” as the classic Greek nose is rather pronounced and with a little bit of a bump on it, and I love that. I think, especially on men, it looks so classic and gorgeous. I met a guy online who got rhinoplasty to turn his big beautiful Grecian nose into a dainty little ski slope nose, and I almost cried. He was gorgeous before he got the nose job, and looked like a creepy doll afterward

Hi Lorry, another great informative video, as always! I find it so sad that those naturally very attractive men feel the need to change their features. I don't like the direction in which the beauty standards seem to be going with those sunken, dry faces, jaw implants, and buccal fat removals. I find both Liam and Zac so much more attractive before most procedures.

My feelings toward plastic surgery is the same as PED’s: doing it is your choice, but be open and truthful about it. So many kids grow up insecure about their looks. They at least deserve to know that if the people they admire were born looking that way or not.
