I have a long term disability. I found your channel by accident. I felt like life was passing me by but watching the adventures of being in nature encouraged me to push myself to walk. I paced myself and built up some strength. Then your channel made me want to camp. I never believed I could camp again, but my walking had increased my confidence and so I got a lightweight tent and did my first solo camp in October. I just got an interview for my dream job now I feel able to go back to work. You never know the chain of events that are inspired by your channel. Cheers Liam 🎉

So pleased you enjoyed Cyprus. The people are as good as you'll find anywhere in Europe, and the food and beer (Keo) is just as fitting. The Troodos range is huge and so diverse. The green fence you camped by on the Paphos coast is Nea Pafos, a UNESCO World Heritage Site - You'd have loved a walk around it. Stunning ruins, including an early amphitheatre. Great content Liam, as always.

Absolutely love this content!! I usually walk 3 miles a day since watching your videos I've increased that to 6 1/2. The goal being to hike up a mountain in the spring and enjoy a gorgeous view. I'm surprised you called them fries. Enjoy your holidays!!🎅🏽🎄

As always a good and relaxing video from you Liam - and I agree, being in the outdoors is much better than most TV. I did quite a bit of hiking and climbing when I lived in Cyprus in the 90s. At the time there didn't seem much of a hiking/climbing culture for the Cypriots, and most fellow soldiers seemed to prefer sea based adventurous training or triathlon so mostly left to my own; it was great!

“A Kabob and beer you cannot beat that”, a beautiful thing indeed! Love your journeys mate, thanks for the escape Liam. Your videos are not just an escape but a reminder to stop and take in the moment, the effort-no matter the result. A reminder to get out there and enjoy/ appreciate what nature and the wild offers everyone, (beauty, mosquito bites, a chance to reflect/recharge); coffee, pasta, cold beer, and Kabob’s aside of course😊 Have a great new year, cheers!

Liam, thank-you so much for rekindling the memories of a far-off family holiday, in 1999. Fascinating country, isn't it? If you do return, check out Old Paphos as the contrast between it and the resort is so incredible; and head up that western coast from Paphos, to the smaller north-east coast town named Poli, and see the Baths of Aphrodite, as well as the lemon trees growing in the shade of the old town square! Those absolutely massive churches in the middle of nowhere are monasteries, by the way - some with fantastic Byzantine mosaics that the tourists flock to see - and others just quietly doing what the monks do, so far off the beaten tracks. I think it is possible to return on a cross-country route in a south-easterly direction, providing you're careful to not cross the Green Line into North Cyprus... Do you know which mountain you were on? I have been on Mount Troodos, albeit on a coach tour that also took in the town of the same name; but it didn't look like that, as there was a small orthodox shrine right up on the top - of which there are many, everywhere! I remember it as a slightly more primitive version of the UK, with all those apparently unfunished buidings (I believe it's a tax dodge), and street lighting on wooden poles across the banana fields, where the road has been diverted and they haven't; but I guess it may have upgraded a bit since then. You might even like to explore North Nicosia, which they say is as it was left in 1971 and, half buried in dust; though whether they'd allow you to film there I don't know. There used to be ferries from Limassol to both Israel and Egypt by the way - I don't know if they're still going or not.
