Hey Liam, im not a commentor but I watch all your vids they are great so keep it up, but something I would love for you to do on your trips would be a quick break down on what it cost you to go to these places and just in general what it cost to do the whole trip. It would seriously help for people like me with not much money so I could maybe plan a trip outside of my home in Ireland =D
@aka_angrygoose580911 күн бұрын
That's a great idea, things like what his food to get started has cost then a break down at the end of flights train food water coffee etc everything he spent to set up and execute the trip. Well done for the good question.

Hey Liam I remember those videos you made about sleeping in different places in the UK and making some nice food that was local to the place you camped that night. They were so good! Maybe you could so something akin to that (of course only if you actually would like to do that) :D

The hand warmers are an absolute game changer. A friend gave me a couple during a camping trip last year, and I honestly can't believe I went so long without them. Without doubt, the best addition to my winter camping

+1 on the Thermarest Neoair Xtherm. Hands down, the best piece of kit I have. Also we all have osprey aether packs. They have been on multiple hicking expiditions. THE most comfy pack I have ever used. So if anyone is looking for new gear, listen to Liam. No BS!

U are so great. Thank you for your modesty, letting upgrades not bother your beautiful PATHway of life. Although secretly it would mae sense these drone and pad and stove and so on sellors would provide you with sponsorships. That being said, you make it ever so obvious that, unless health is an obstacle, we can all go trek the woids, beloved British Isles nature or far away grounds with a minimum of impactsteps and a maximum of healthy minimalism and simplicity. Tx for the "keepin'feettoastytips" ;-)

I love seeing gear videos. I’m of the same attitude, if I love it, it works I will keep using it until it falls apart. No need to upgrade or buy new it’s a waste of money. This goes for everything really. I have some hiking clothes ive been wearing for years and years… my pack I’ve had for 15 years that I take on multi day hikes.. it’s looking a bit rough but still a great pack and the weight is 1.2kg (50L +10) which is light considering its age. I love alpine hiking it’s the best

I share the same philosophy, I only buy stuff when it breaks 👍 Interesting to see, thanks Liam. Yeah "waterproofs" are a con. They shouldn't be allowed to use the term - they're water resistant. I love my Montane Featherlight and actually wonder if wearing two would be better than traditional waterproofs. Frogg Toggs are crap - easily torn by undergrowth and the seams split, so interesting to see that you've gone for Patagonia Torrent. I'm a little concerned about the environmental consequences of the chemicals in the hand warmers. I'd look at a battery operated one.

Hi Liam, Quick question for you. I too live in the UK but I am not originally from here. I do not know the rules when it comes to backpacking and setting up your tent. Can you just set up your tent anywhere when backpacking? Not sure what the wild camping rules are. Any help and recommendations for learning these would be greatly appreciated
@aka_angrygoose580911 күн бұрын
The number one rule for backpacking is, the crime is being caught.
@dominic37538 күн бұрын
Due to right to roam, In Scotland it's legal and generally accepted for anyone to camp pretty much anywhere in Scotland, provided you follow the Scottish Outdoor Access code. In England and Wales it is illegal to camp without landowners permission, it is also illegal to camp in national parks with some exceptions (although camping in national parks in secluded areas is generally accepted by the public). I've wild camped alot in England and rarely been bothered by anyone, the trick is finding somewhere secluded where you won't be noticed much (like in woodland, or the edge of farmland, not in someone's garden), and being very neat and tidy, leave no trace. The worse that will likely happen is that someone will ask you to move on.
