Rewatching this now, it just highlights how unselfish Liz is. She could’ve married Jason so many times. He didn’t give Sam a second thought before or after finding out the baby was his. He would have married Liz and forgot Sam existed. Sam knew it. Carly knew it. Sonny knew it. And Lucky too later own. These people really worked Liz and made her feel guilty for having Jason’s heart and kid.

Exactly. Couldn't have said it better myself. Everyone in their lives made Liz and Jason feel guilty about having strong feelings for each other and loving each other. I felt really bad for Liz during the whole pregnancy with Jake. No matter what she did or how much she tried to follow her heart everyone except Jason, made her feel guilty about having Jason's baby. Everytime Liz tried to follow her heart and start to decide she wanted to follow through on her feelings for Jason and let him raise their son together and be the family they were meant to be, everyone kept putting her down and making her feel obligated to be with lucky or to not have Jason's child.

Perfectly said! Just jumping on the Liason train while watching Jasam 🤣. I initially thought WTF, why is he purposing when he is with Sam,so I went back and watched Liason history and I truly believe that he has always desperately wanted Liz to love him, but, he also understood her need to save Lucky because she confided all he was to her after he "died". He fell for her and she for him, but because Lucky came back from the dead, she felt that that must be her destiny and has suffered from it ever since. I think Jason is patiently waiting for her to truly be over her need to be Lucky's salvation.

The look Jason gives Elizabeth right before she says, "We made it." And hugs him- That look there, shows how scared and worried he was as if it just dawned him all of the sudden that she was now his whole world. What with her carrying their child... And he came close to losing them both without even ever knowing. I think she hugged him to comfort him, because he shot her that look.

Most people didn't pay attention to Jason's Dialogue. He did choose his son over sam. When Liz asked him would he choose the baby over sam, he said "No...No... I'm just saying it would be selfish of me to put my happiness ahead of this child. and I'm not going to do it." Hence, he chose the baby over sam". Most people just don't pay enough attention to what is said to realized what has happened.

This is where I starts disliking Elizabeth. I never full on hated her. Romantically? Definitely Liz. He may have married Sam and tried multiple times with her, but that's only because she made it easy for jason to settle for her as an option. Jason loved liz in a way he didn't with anyone else. She was always someone he came back to because he could never truly let go of his feelings for Liz. He would just bury them and keep them inside, while he settled for women who he thought fit his lifestyle choices better. But liz was always someone he always wanted and couldn't truly let go of.
