One of the greatest performers the world will ever know. Everyone from Elvis Presley through to Barbra Streisand especially, and even Lady Gaga today owe a debt of enormous gratitude to this man who paved the way for showmanship at the highest level of entertainment. He was a legend and a genius in his genre. He was also one of the kindest and most gentle of souls. He certainly made this world a better place for the time he was in it. There will never be another like him. God bless him!

@balto4 I visited your channel. I see you love dogs. Liberace adored dogs. His housekeeper Gladys Luckie once told me when he was away on tour she would have to bring each dog to the phone so he could speak to them through the phone. During my first visit to Vegas in 1989 Gladys still had some of his dogs. Most had passed away. The ones remaining still wore the diamond collars Liberace gave them :)

I don't care if he was gay. He was a great man who really cared for his fellow man which is the most important thing . He was always happy because he did so much good for so manyl.

my granmother is kind of eccentric, so you can know why she woud love the man. but once she wrote him a letter asking him if he'd like to buy one of her pianos. he wrote her a long letter back saying that while it was a nice offer he had more pianos that he knew what to do w/...and he sent her a signed picture...class act.

@sydneygayboi This was most likely done in 1984 based on what Liberace says during the interview. He says, "Next year will be my 40th anniversary in Las Vegas. I started performing in Vegas in 1944." That's why I think this interview was done in 1984.

it's so disgusting to now see the way those around him took advantage and destroyed his legacy - his homes in ruins and all his clothes furniture cars jewels etc gone - even Scott who parades around the worlds scum media telling of personal details of Lee's life - Scott was a drugged out nobody & if it was not for Lee - the world would never know who he was -

if it wasnt for lee, scott wouldnt have ended up a junkie and a convict.

Liberace did this to himself.. I liked liberace and thought he was a lovely man.. but, he ruined his own life and legacy.. we all will have to acknowledge our sins when we die. His father lived to be 93 years old and his mom lived to be 89.. I wish liberace would have lived longer. No one ruined his homes.. liberace died early.. but he did it to himself.. Sometimes we can be our own worst enemy.. RIP liberace..

THEN AFTER HE SPENT ALL HIS OWN MONEY. .HE GOT BETTER NOT BECAUSE HE SPENT HIS MONEY ...BUT BECAUSE HE PROVED TO GOD THAT HE WAS READY TO DIE....BUT GOD DIDN'T TAKE HIM IT WASN'T GOING TO BE HIS TIME. ...GOD KNOWS HE HAS MUCH MORE TO LIVE AND IT'S GOD'S GIFT TO HIM TO ENJOY IT A LITTLE MORE. ...AMEN +

Oh yeah and the kids are all listening to Elvis lol. Kids dont listen to Mozart, does that mean its musically worthless. Going by the rubbish kids listen too today, we should not use them as a barometer of musical taste and talent

He’s a great pianist. But his life style ended his life way too soon. And he knew he had aids but he still had sex and passed it around.. I always admired him and his piano brilliance.. his last lover died of aids at 33 years old because liberace didn’t tell him he had aids. So he passed hiv around and he knew he had it.. people who did this knowingly got arrested for murder.. I liked him and still admire his kindness and brilliance of playing the piano.. So he died because of his sexual prowess.. Like the Bible states , “ The wages of sin is….., Death.. liberace was a narcissist.. it’s sad.. I hope he is in Heaven with God. I don’t know why a person wants the same sex person as their lovers..

Liberace and his last partner found out on the same day that they had the virus. Liberace did not pass the virus on purpose...he did not know he had it until his partner also had it. You can quote the Bible all you want, but it doesn't make you any better than the next person. Also, you don't have to understand same-sex attraction...if it's not your cup of tea, then don't drink it! Liberace was a phenomenal person with great talent, and would have done anything to help anyone. His faith was strong, and I believe he is now in Heaven, and I look forward to meeting him there one day. Just a little something to consider; straight people get AIDS too, either from sex or blood transfusions, dirty needles, etc. Please don't blame his death on his "sexual prowess" because it can happen to anyone.
