That what you said pretty much makes sense to me. The process sucks and I do understand that the process can take long time due to computer malfunctions and internet speed too. Thanks Jesse.

I remember asking you about this a while back and everything you said in my opinion is right on. I just emailed a few libraries today just reaching out to say hello and keeping good relationships with them. Makes all the difference in the future

I always register my own tracks

One library I'm with said they don't register until it gets placed, and the other does it quarterly.

I’ve always been told to register your own tracks with your PRO and completely avoid libraries that re-register your tracks under a different name. I had a mess to clean up with one library that did that to me back in the day. For example, if I had a track called “Jingle Bells” and I registered that track everywhere myself and also released it on an album, THEN sent that track to a library called Hitz Music Library (totally made up name) and they renamed it Hitz_Jingle Bells, to which they owned 50% of the publishing side. It doubled the size of my library in BMI and just made everything a mess. Is this the normal process for dealing with libraries? I’ve since been told to only submit to libraries that only use your original track registration info and to avoid libraries that rename your tracks as they shouldn’t be touching your PRO account. Really interested to hear anyone else’s experience with this and opinions on all of that. Side note, love what you do here, keep it up!

Mark Morgon-Shaw good to know. So what if you have songs that you’ve released on albums that you want to sync? Or is all of this just in regards to recording tracks specifically for libraries? So far I’ve only been trying to sync music that I’ve recorded and released as a solo artist.

Mark Morgon-Shaw right on. Good to know! Thanks for explaining all of that!

I'm always register all of my tracks with my PRO, this so I know I won't miss out any money. When they register the tracks, everything gets connected by the PRO. It is very boring, but I'm a business, so that means I'll need to manage my administration properly, otherwise I will lose money.

Why not register the song as a writer.

Yes, Crucial Music DOESN'T register tracks at all. They made it clearly stated in their submissions.

@@royaltyfreemusiccollective8662 Well, look again. Submit a new song and you will see that "Please register your track with your PRO before submitting to Crucial" message. Then come back to me and apologize.

@@royaltyfreemusiccollective8662 Correct! I haven't had any tracks accepted because I just knew about them last week. But regardless of what you're saying, they made it clearly stated as I pasted to you. Does it mean that they say something and do the opposite?

HarmonyCore Jr. So do they do or not. Mark is saying one thing and you are saying the other. Did Mark get his tracks registered by them? That’s the real question.
@Ahmad-Mounir444 жыл бұрын
@@deboman81 I think if he got his tracks accepted, this means they do register them as he says. And if this is true, then CM is lying or mislead the public. Go look it up yourself. Why would they say something false?
