This was cool! You and Danny had a great day. When Danny burped, I started laughing because Chris does that too when he’s knows I’m taping lol. Looks like kinda a remote location. 🤗

Oh Chris! Lol! Danny doesn't hold back. It can get pretty remote there. Love the pine barrens :-)

This is fascinating stuff, Kathy! It's like an archaeological dig. I'd like to get hold of some LIDAR maps of the Adelaide Hills. I think they'd reveal some interesting sites that aren't apparent on Google Earth. 🌏

I'm from a town in northern Minnesota that a paper mill was established in 1901, it is still in operation but has gone through many changes through the years. It was founded as Blandin papermill and is now known as UPM. My grandfather worked there in the 20s and early 30s. Don't know how much longer it will be in operation. Thanks for taking us along your explore.

My grandmother & I "discovered" Harrisville on one of our day trips we'd take from Surf City in the early 60's. I swam in the pond there. In the years since then...waterpower has been a study of mine. I find the shape of the delivery canal to the paper mill new to me. From the layout of the land...the amount of "fall" looked to be enough to bring the water to the undershot water wheels at the mill. If the delivery canal was lined with clay (to prevent the water from "escaping") the distance the water had to travel would not matter. So, we can only guess about this delivery canal. I wonder if another works was planned...it was planned to go upstream of the papermill? Humm...the delivery canal would have had to have had enough volume to permit both (or more mills) to supply adequate water without starving any downstream users. Could you tell if this delivery canal was wide from the beginnig of it? If it is wider than where the papermills entrances are...then my theory is on it. Enjoyed your candid video, thank you, Pete
