I have been in Athens, Greece, during the local lockdown (much earlier than the UK one), and although my being here means I had fewer chances of catching the coronavirus (and, thankfully, I didn't), I now feel like I am getting robbed by seeing the price for this in the UK! It is currently advertised on the LIDL Hellas site for 299€ (£270), almost double the price than in the UK (£149)! And taking into account the fact that people here are still trying to get out of the financial crisis, that the unemployment rate is astronomically high, and that those who are lucky enough to have a job get much, much lower wages than British folk while having to pay many more and higher taxes, I can't help but wonder: How does Lidl justify this ridiculous price difference? Oh, I know, THEY DON'T, because they don't have to and they can get away with any price they like! GRRReece!

I have noticed that the red safety is not clipped when the scooter is in use. Please do use it! Make sure you extend the scooter probably so you can lock the red safety when in use. When unfolding the scooter upright, give it a good yank and you should be able to lock the safety lever. You don't want it collapsing while in use.

Yes, with power off (or on and no throttle) you can kick scoot it along more or less like a normal scooter - the motor has a tiny bit of drag, and its quite heavy, but certainly would be fine to get home with flat battery. Having said that the battery gauge is excellent, and we've not run out yet.

i have this exact scooter but the red leaver that you pull in order to fold it will not move. any suggestions would be really helpful. thanks

Black lever is sometimes sticky so I am guessing the red clip is stuck against it, put right foot on scooter bed left hand I push the handlebars forward and back to jiggle and right hand the clip will then release to fold up. Opening I just put one foot on bed and push handlebars forward and back to jiggle it till it clicks into place.

Great review! Just picked one up today. £149 is a bargain! Never had a go on one before and after a quick charge I took it out. HOLY SMOKES! this thing is fast. The accelerator and breaking system is perfect. Barely any sound when riding. Lights front and back. Got it for me and my 9yr old son to play with. I was surprised of the size and weight of it. Let's just hope it lasts with no weird error codes! My only issue so far is that red catch you need to pull to allow it to fold, I found it ridiculously stiff and hard to pull. Maybe because it's new. Anyhow highly recommended for the price. Cheers :)

Mine has broken down today. I've used it no more than 10 times. It broke down while riding. The display showed error briefly for no reason and then went black. Obviously the scooter wouldn't work either. It was a hot day and I was hoping the scooter got overheated and would come back to life once cooled down, but nope, would not turn on anymore. Pity, I liked this scooter a lot.

Had the E3 and E6 error codes randomly pop up now it doesn't work, for no apparent reason too. Only used it a few times in the lay couple of days. Took back to aldi and exchanged for another. I fear this error code may come back up again at any point which makes it less enjoyable to use.. I don't understand why there isn't an error code section within the instruction manual or ANYTHING online about it. Which is quite frankly ridiculous. Still an epic scooter though. If this one messes up it will refund time.

Theres a red lever at the bottom of the handle bare stem. It's not easy to undo once the stem is clicked into place. My one just stays upright as it's just too difficult to collapse

Someone else asked, I find easiest to put right foot on the scooter bed, left hand on handlebar and wriggle it back and forth while using right hand to pull on the red release lever. Its quite tight so you need to rock the handlebars back and forth to release.

It shows a bar graph of approx battery remaining, but it drops when going up hill, so not sure how reliable it would be.

No, I don't believe its even splashproof, and am sure manual says not to use in rain.

Just to update the first scooter was brilliant for 2 days then broke, the back wheel made a clunk and then won't turn, and display just shows E3. Luckily I had to go to Lidl (for essential shopping for vulnerable neighbours) and they still had one left so I got it exchanged, the second scooter runs like a dream - on Day1 ;) Thanks to Arvacon, there are some extra features, cruise control and throttle from zero (you normally have to push start before throttle is active) . @@usmanafzaal6955 On ours the motor was physically locked up so no, as its under warranty/returnable I didn't take it apart to check but suspect something in the motor/back wheel had physically snapped as wheel wouldn't turn.

@@sneakerfreaker_hd5482 I find it impossible to do with my fingers trying to fold it back down. So have to use a tool as leverage to pop it back. Small screwdriver or the end of a butter knife works fine for example
