Loved your demo of putting blades in 'one-handed'. Love the design of the cordless drill - removable chuck. Thanks for sharing. Cheers 👍👍👍

I've had various Lidl & Aldi tools for years but in the past year I converted the log cabin in my garden into a proper workshop & have spent a few grand kitting it out. A lot of the tools are Parkside, especially their 12 & 20 volt range. For the price they're excellent. They seem to use about four main manufacturers & one of them is a little hit. & miss. I tend to look up KZbin reviews before buying anything over £15. Most of the tools have seen heavy use & no major issues. If something were to break, I keep reciepts & they have a four year warranty, which Lidl seems to honour without any quibbles. Was in Axminster tools store today looking at some of the mega expensive Festool & Mafell stuff. I'm sure the precision & durability is a lot higher but for the massive price, I think I'd need to be using the tools professionally for them to be worthwhile.

I find them exceptional for the money. We would all like high end tools but I like to show that cheap tools can also achieve great things. Not sure how they manage to sell them so cheap.

The supermarket brand tools from my experience have been surprisingly good, I have a Aldi Multitool and a Aldi SDS Hammer Drill, both have been serving me well up to press, and would recommend them for sure.

Have to agree, the 12v d4 drill with removable chuck is brilliant, multi tool seems quite good. The 12v barrel grip jigsaw is great & also the 5inch disc sander

Nothing wrong with lidl stuff, I've been a trade person for over 20 years, and there bits etc are fine, I've a work zone pillar drill from aldi and it's seen some work, great little work horse , nice haul there Dave 👍 for what they cost and the great warranty it just makes sense 👍

I like the design on the dust extraction port. Great budget tools I think. Downside for me is arthritis in my hands and find the cheaper tool kill my hands very fast. Had the dewalt multi tool that done the same. Ended up with a festool vecturo that’s smoother running. But saying that I’m totally impressed with the parkside stuff and great prices. Keep up the great work you do. Good honest reviews 👍

I brought a ferrex ( Aldi ) corded version of the multitool and just like you spent ages trying to fix a blade onto it before 'sussing out' that the lever needed to be fully open. I have since purchased a box of assorted blades from Saxon blades to go with it

I'm glad it wasn't just me regarding the locking lever. Doesn't even say in the instructions. I was scratching my head for a while🤣🤣🤣

Really helpful review - thanks. I have a corded one that I hardly use but every now and then there's a job where this tool is absolutely perfect so a cheap one would have been ideal.

Parkside are really good quality for what you pay. I have a few items, the best being a drill driver which was tested against some of the top brands, and absolutely trounced all of the others. The torque is absolutely astounding. 💂♂️🇬🇧

Good review & set of bargain tools Dave. I picked up the right angled bit holder a couple of years ago, very handy tool to have in the tool bag. I’ll be heading to my Lidl this Thursday as they have a Laminate & Vinyl floor cutter for £19.99, which will come in handy when I fit our kitchen flooring in a couple of months. Also got the Ferrex nail gun from Aldi recently 👍.

Thanks mate, yeah I saw they have the laminate cutter. Might pick one up myself as I've been known to do the odd floor installation. Would save on all the dust

You would have to be nuts to not consider Lidl for tools, Not seen the multitool before, might get one of those, you might want to change the bit @15:43 😀😁😂 my main gripe is that they seemed to be going towards a single battery fitting type but have veered away from it now, so you have to have more of each type ready to go.
@thegodsonuk2 жыл бұрын
Great Videos … 2 points that might explain some of the issues you were having… 1 All li-ion batteries will cut out at low voltage to protect the battery from being over discharged and damaging the battery. 2 I think you are putting too much downward pressure on the multi tool blades. I found that a lighter downward pressure and let the blade do the cutting works best. But great videos still. STEF (also from Bristol!)

I have a vast amount of Parkside tools and as yet have no complaints at all , if you look on the box's the tools are made by "Grizzly" which i don't think is a budget brand ?

I buy clampos and drill bit or the screwdriver bits at times Dave mate. I bought the bench drill here in Lidl in my local one in Dublin and I got it for 69.99 euros which I thought was a bloody bargain matt. I8t's a right little belter of a Bench Drill tbf. I was going to buy the Plunge/Track saw the had in the other day but the box was selotaped up to bits and it put me off plus the price was a little too high for me even though I've seen some half decent reviews on it. I need a good track saw atm bcos I haven't got a good enough straight edge to cut MDF or Plywood using my Bosch circular saw plus I really need to buy some proper blades for this saw I have. It's one of the decent Bosch Pro verions but I need to get rid of their shitty stock blades and get me a few of those Freund blades? I probably spelled it wrong there. LOL I want to get some table saw blades and a good blade for my circular saw and chop saw but I'm not sure of which to buy mate. Have u any good advice for me pal? I wanna get clean cuts so anybody with advice for the best blades for clean cuts with no tear out on the bottom of the wood I would greatly appreciate ur advice guys.. Brilliant video again Dave. U always give a good account of the tools bro.. keep up the great work pal..
