I bought one this week and the bottom of the strimmer head came apart as soon as revs were applied. They replaced the head and the same thing happened. The plastic lugs are not strong enough. The line spool can be pulled off without pressing in the clips.

I have not had that problem (as you can see from part 3, here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r6HKfnl_pN5sgrM Could you send pictures of the both sides of the head? In particular I would be interested in the bits that hold them together and the spring. My email address is on my about page. I will be making a video about the head shortly and will try to work out why some fail. Also many thanks for watching! Please like, share and if you like the channel, subscribe!

The advantage of searching for burrs by rubbing your finger along the edge, is that you get a red warning indicator when you find a burr - very useful!!!! I'm a bit behind with my viewing Ben, I'll get round to watching part 2 soon - I'll be interested to see how it performs, I always find the dedicated tools tend to work better than the multi versions, but there again most people aren't going to want to pay for 4 tools let alone store them for the 10 months they're not using them. I was given a couple of petrol hedge trimmers and a strimmer a few years ago - all non functional until I'd done a bit of work on them, and in each case they are nicer to use than my combi hedge trimmer/strimmer - but they do take up a whole load of space. Totally agree about wanting them to put the fuel mix embossed into the fuel cap or tank - each year when I get to my stuff I can't remember the mix (the labels have long since fallen off or worn out) and I have to go searching for my notes or the instructions.

A it happens the burr ended up as a splinter! I take your point about dedicated tools, but as you say, there's more than one way of looking at it. Many thanks for watching!
@GrumpyTim
@GrumpyTim Жыл бұрын
@@BensWorkshop ouch, splinters are the worst, mine are usually timber, and more specifically plywood splinters under the fingernail, but metal splinters hurt even more. Hope it's now out and didn't cause too much grief.

Not worried about the pain, they are just a pain to remove.

Hi Ben, i have flooded my 4 in 1 multitool how do I unflood it? Initially the engine did turn over then it stopped. Cant get it to work since.
@BensWorkshop
@BensWorkshop Жыл бұрын
How do you think you flooded it? Typically you could take out the spark plug and pull it over a few times to clear it. Dry the plug whilst you are at it and make sure it is clean. Hope that helps. Please like, share and if you like the channel, subscribe!

Which is better the petrol or battery version?
@BensWorkshop
@BensWorkshop Жыл бұрын
Can't say how good this one is because I have not yet used it. (Will be doing that on Saturday). Can't compare either because I don't have a battery version of this or seperate battery tools that do the same job. Many thanks for watching! Please like, share and if you like the channel, subscribe!

Awesome. Interested in the weight when hedge cutting and the size of branch it will cut when you get in action.
@BensWorkshop
@BensWorkshop Жыл бұрын
The engine has weight, quite a lot more than my hedge cutter however it is on a harness so you won't really feel that, and the ends do feel light in the hand.

What actual size is the engine in cc ?
@BensWorkshop
@BensWorkshop Жыл бұрын
Can't tell you for sure. Someone else said it was 52 CC. It says in the manual that it is 1.97 horse power. There are 3 parts to the review then another part about the strimmer head. Many thanks for watching, please like, share and subscribe!

@@BensWorkshop I was talking to a chap yesterday who services and repairs lawnmowers and small engines, he was saying how the E10 petrol is wrecking engines. He advised using E5 as a minimum but preferably ethane free fuel, but that is very expensive.
@BensWorkshop
@BensWorkshop Жыл бұрын
It specifically says do not use E10 fuel. I expect it rots all the seals.
