In this free drum lesson, I want to teach you the main beats and drum fills from the song "Lido Shuffle" by Boz Scaggs featuring Jeff Porcaro on drums.
The song opens with a Jeff Porcaro shuffle drum beat special that he pretty much plays the same throughout the whole song. Featuring ghost notes and a shuffled bass drum pattern, it just sounds sooo good!
Later in the song we have some really cool band stab sections which I have transcribed. Then right at the end we have some wonderful feeling drum fills that might surprise you with their time signatures!

I must say honestly out of all the John teachers I see you really break it down really well on the first we are not sure what comes in with a knife eat it actually goes to go snow and then it goes into the regular beat so does hit on but when it comes out it’s on the office just to let you know that’s what I’m actually thinking he’s doing that’s what I’m kind of figuring I’m just not sure but anyway keep it up you definitely got a subscriber patron really soon

Great! Important to know that the album recording has a delay & echo repeater on the snare which also makes the solid note on 2 have a very subtle echo after it like a ghost note. Listen carefully. It's about the mix.
