So liberating from "dead works". Tired of trying to be perfect and failing. Thank you Jesus for finishing the work on the Cross.

“The will of God is not about getting right, it’s about getting sane.” 2 Timothy 1:7-For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a “sound mind”. Another word for the word “sound” is “sane”. So the opposite of sane is insane. So outside of Christ creating in us a “sane” mind.... we are all, to one degree or another, insane.

Haven't been able to verify it yet in any "dictionary" or in any "research", but years ago I heard a thought-provoking comment over a pulpit about the word "apostasy". The comment was to the effect of "the definition of 'apostasy' is 'insanity'. Interesting.

@@ericsikma4764That makes perfect sense to me! When you aren't relying on God and His perfect love and grace, you can feel like your mind is going every which way but loose! That is not freedom in Christ. Even the Bible says that false teachers tend to leave you with more questions than when you first asked the question. If that's the case, run! There are very few out there that can actually give you the answer without leaving you with more questions. Andrew is NOT one of them!

Great teaching, all of these "seeking God" heresies were invented early by the Roman controlled church to justify the priesthood and disempower believers by putting a man between us and God again.

Hello Brother Andrew: Puzzle: Proverbs 3:5 TRUST in the Lord with ALL your heart, and LEAN NOT UNTO YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING. In ALL your ways acknowledge HIM, and HE SHALL DIRECT YOUR PATHS. Psalm 37:23: The STEPS of a righteous man are ordered (guided) by the Lord. Then in Luke 4:10 It is written, he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee, 11) . . . lest you dash your foot against a stone. Question: At what point during a Christian's earthly life does God relax and hold himself back from micro-managing a believer's daily affairs?

In general I agree but I don't think that should be taken literally. Of course you're not gonna be directed by every single choice you make.

Proverbs 3:5 trust in his Words and don’t lean on your own interpretations of his Word. Our understanding can be biased according to feelings and emotions. Psalm 37:23 Pastor Andrew talks about how God will guide us by wisdom and increase our discernment. However, he does not force us to make decisions, ultimately we have free will. It may be easier to put it into the perspective of not having God in our life at all, we’d lack much wisdom and discernment. Not sure why you included Luke

Even the apostle Paul said he had freedom to make certain choices. He said he could have married if he wanted to, but he chose not to. God would be pleased with his decision either way. But, Paul also said that he didn't preach the Gospel for a reward, nor because it was his will, nor because it was required of him. He said he preached the Gospel because God put it in him and he couldn't help himself!

Also, God doesn't micromanage. He expects us to live in this world and use wisdom in our choices. Some things God allows us to decide according to our own preference. Like Paul deciding not to marry. God could still use him. But, Paul himself decided he wanted to spend all his time preaching the Gospel so he knew that if he married he would have a responsibility to his wife. God didn't require that he stayed single, but he CHOSE to stay single. Paul spells it out.
