In my opinion, both natural and correct are important. It depends on the situation. Formal situations might require a more correct speaking and primarily writing, but depending on the audience, being more natural (although incorrect) might facilitate the communication.

Anyway, this was the answer of your question.Sir, you're actually a nice teacher as in so simple terms you teach each of the topics of English of language that any one can easily understand it.Thanks for making such wonderful videos.

The person who likes to lie to others and sweet talk his way out of any situation in order to believe something will be finally abandoned by his friends. But sometimes white lies are good and effective for patients who suffer life-threating diseases such as cancer which gives them strength and hope to cure for their wellness. I lay a nice floral pattern table cloth on my dining table so that it can cover the scratches and flaw on it. After a long hour flight from my country to Canada, I lie down on my bed and stretch out my legs and hands in a relaxed way.

I agree with you that it depends on where we are or what we're doing to use those verbs. I mean, if I'm talking to friends, I'll prefer to sound natural. However, if I'm taking an English test, I'll use the correct grammar verb tenses. It happens to me in my language too. Sometimes, I make mistakes to sound natural but I'm aware of them. The two sentences are: I lay down on my bed to watch some videos last night but I was so tired that I fell asleep. I lay my laptop on the table to watch some videos while I cook. Thanks for teaching this subject! You added a lot of important and interesting information while was explaining it. Yesterday I lied to my friend about his surprise birthday ! Every day when I come back from work I lay my phone on the table. I’ve heard many times that it’s not good to lie face down when you sleep. To summarize: 1) to lie, lied and lied is not saying the truth. 2) to lay laid and laid is to put something down. 3) the most confusing one... to lie lay and lain is the action of going face down or face up on a mattress or something like that. But you... native English speakers don’t use the simple past lay and the past participle lain because it would be to easy ;) you rather like complicated things using laid and laid instead of lay and lain. You don’t want us to learn English or what :) kidding ! Thanks for the lesson it’s been very useful ! Have a good one Mark !

Thank you so much Mark for this video on lie and lay. . 👍💕 In fact, I got little confused because I hardly heard people using 'lain' as the 3rd form ( past participle ) of the verb 'lie' . Lay, of course, is quite commonly used as the past tense of 'lie'.. 😃 The rest is fine! 1. Lie... A dishonest man wouldn't hesitate to tell a lie. (N) I want to lie on the beach and enjoy the cool breeze. ( V) 2. Lay.... The hen lays a golden egg every morning. ( V) 😂 -Please lay the dinner table for the guests! (V) -He lay on the lawn for about two hours. (V)

1)Don't lie to me. I know what you did just now. 2) Could you please lay the food on the table, Mark? Snoring is an illness. A person who snore has higher chances of getting stroke. Please don't take it lightly. The most natural way of treatment for snoring is 'acupuncture '. The results are tremendous.

it's more important to be natural than to be correct , because we all learn English for communicating or watching and understanding from movies , so if native English speakers use laid we would rather use it as well.. it's not a big deal actually, but the most correct thing is like you said when we take an Exam we try to be correct we write lay and lain but if we speak with English native speakers we try to be natural we say lain and lain..
