That's because you had something else going in and perhaps you've held the tension in the muscles to long.. Continue to stretch out the muscles and as light massages.. Use ice or heat therapy... For the amount of time you had the pain you should have gone to a medical prof. This exercise is to release tension in the muscle.. You'll be fine give it time to heal and get back at it.. Unless you physically unable. You got this

I’ve been dealing with neck/shoulder related migraines for at least 10 years, and have sought out help and treatments from many providers. To anyone new to this, dont hold or push any new neck stretch into anything more then a 1/10 on a pain scale. You can cause so much damage to yourself if you over do this stuff. Its reckless that this isnt pointed out in the video.

Agreed. I did too much and made my pain worse. No one should try to do these "as hard as you can", or for an extended amount of time. Both of those things should be worked up to. More instruction on positioning would also be helpful. I may modify these and give them another try...maybe.

L & B, this is Fabulous !! I've been to Upper Cervical Chiros who basically ripped me off. After maybe 20 sessions, I felt nothing other than getting slightly wobberly immediately after the sessions. The Chiro did very subtle pushes on each side to the Atlas (lying on my left and then on my right on a table. They lasted maybe 5 minutes. These stretches seem to yield great results. I'm 70 yo, retired male, who has suffered with many spinal issues : Lumbar, thoracic and cervical stenosis, DDD throughout, Disc bulges, Spondyliosis, Dextroscoliosis (25 degrees), and Splondylioethesis at L5-S1, and OA in the Hips , knees. Many, if not all people don't realize that cervical instabilities "drives the Bus" in overall well being. After many years of searching the Interweb, Pain Management consultations, Ortho doctor visits, even 6 Surgical opinions (all of which said No Surgery - too much arthritis, meaning that the success rate is not good), this UT video has been very informative and useful. I have a 1 inch shorter right leg sustained as a result of a fractured right femur in 1966 (15 yo) from playing HS Football. When the body cast came off after 3 Months, the right leg was short by 1 inch. My left leg grew normally, the right did not (the Growth plate was detached which in 1966 they Knew Nothing about). Left unaddressed until about 15 years ago, that Trauma has wreaked havoc with my spine, twisting it and curving it. The chronic pain and terrible stiffness traverses to the top of my head - to the bridge of my nose. I've found that cervical instabilities (including the C4-C7 disc issues and loss of the curve) contribute to not only Tinnitus / dizziness, but TMJ Syndromes, Chronic Sinusitis, IBS /GERD, even bouts of bowel and bladder incontinence. The VAGUS Nerve is at Play here. The Vagus nerve is the Motherlode of all cranial nerves affecting a multitude of organs in the body. I'm going to engage thsi regimine of exercises and hope for relief . PS: 48 years of commuting by car (at least 75% of the time) which creates very poor posture - forward head posture - affected me and I'm sure Many others. Pay attention to Tech Neck folks !! Thank you very much for this!!

I’ve had T for two years and had Atlas adjustments for almost six months. I was told by two atlas chiros old whiplash resurfaced when I wrenched my neck dancing pre pandemic. Meditation, yoga, fasting and removing/reducing carbs, salt, sugar, dairy all help minimize the noise. A type personalities get T so it’s all about reducing stress n anxiety. I also use balls for trigger point release, walk my dog and ground barefoot. But yes, the Atlas is in control of the neural highway in the body. If it’s out so is the whole body. I’ve also found that stretching is contrary to laxity in the neck. Strengthening is important. Check out MSK Neurology by Kjetil Larson on KZbin. He healed himself researching and discovering certain techniques.

Anna, I have to say , I did prolotherapy & it was great , it really worked to get C2-C7 less hyper mobile. But the only problem is now every time my neck goes out, it’s C1, & this is the one vertebrae they can’t do prolotherapy one due to it being too close to the brain. I hope it worked as an overall cure for you.

I did it as hard as I could and it actually popped my neck/jaw back into a much more comfortable position. :3 I agree with Ean OM - the human body is not that easy to injure just by stretching your neck. You can't tear your own head off or break your own neck without outside force - so unless someone has idk, the thing that Sam Jackson had in Unbreakable, then they'll be fine.

I message my tense muscles before ever attempting to stretch them. I would absolutely stay away from bending my head forward as that is usually what causes the pain to begin with. I had spine alignment issues for years, one shoulder higher than the other, one leg shorter than the other (if I levelled my hips, I could freely swing my right leg), then one of my friends recommended that I see a specialist to get my Atlas bone checked out. My mum had told me that in order to stop me from being born breach, I had been manually turned in the womb. When the guy at the Atlas Clinic checked me out, he discovered my Atlas bone was rotated. It took 5 minutes to correct after which both my legs were exactly the same length.... However, that was ten years ago. No exercises were given at the time to strengthen or stretch the muscles and my neck had been that way for 42 years - so everything had grown from that misaligned place. This video and these exercises are GOLD. I frequently wake up with the circulation cut off in my arms, and struggle to sit in a good posture without pain, the back of my neck and shoulders often get rigid with stress and let's not even talk about the constant tinnitus. Thank you SO much!

yeah I just started experiencing the arms, hands and fingers going numb in 2020. never had any of this before. aggravated something in my neck carrying heavy bags of stone across my shoulders. 30lbs each about 20 bags. two days later my crazy symptoms started. even the back of my neck /base of my skull started going numb. that was definitely a weird feeling. that hasn't happened in a months. but I noticed I kept having misaligned hips since I was a teenager. left side more forward and right leg shorter by almost half inch. I can feel the difference when I walk. I step with the left and swing the right. also the left step forward is much greater than the right and my whole right side of my body has seemed tight for years even along the mid back. now also upper thoracic and shoulder blade area and right shoulder, side of neck really irritate me. I always noticed in photographs too my head always looked tilted or slightly off lol

This PT is fabulous. View all their videos. Many people have no Clue how much Cervical Instabilities affect the entire Body. It's taken me years of research to enlighten me. Checkout Caring Medical on YT too. Dr. Ross Hauser gives you more info on CI! CI affects the Vagus Nerve - the 10th Cranial and Largest Nerve (s - there are two, one on each your neck). That Vagus Nerve controls the Parasympathetic Nervous system in the Body - connecting all the Vitla organs to the Brain, sending and receiving nerve signals back and forth ti control the organs' function. Fight or Flight Responses of Anxiety too.

I've definitely noticed my health issues that suddenly started in 2020 came after carrying heavy bags of stone across my upper back and base of neck (across my shoulders) I must have aggravated something. I've been dealing with a whole cascade of symptoms/issues since especially digestive. I realized it's an autoimmune disorder I'm now dealing with but I'm pretty sure whatever was going on in my neck and upper spine is the cause. It literally turned on at the snap of a finger and I went from being active and fit to a walking skeleton with muscle loss and arthritic joints in a matter of 3-5 months. I told docs it feels like my body was shutting down. nothing was functioning properly and it has to be nerve related. I first I thought I had cvd 19 but without the respiratory issues. well in march of 2020 I did suddenly develop an increase of phlegm in my throat and have to constantly clear it. never had that before, but no breathing coughing sneezing, fevers etc. they ruled out cvd but I cld have been exposed then as my other issues didn't start til august. I keep telling docs something's going on with my neck but they just dismiss it which pisses me off. ur telling them what ur feeling and going through and they're NOT LISTENING and their just looking at treating symptoms and not really trying to figure out what's causing it. A Rheumatologist told me I have RA. I said who gets RA over night? can't answer. Me: how do u get RA? Her: some people just get it or it runs in the family. ( which I already know is bs) Me: but nobody in my family has this. I didn't have it one day then it suddenly started the next. I was healthy and active, maybe something I ate or was exposed to triggered it? Her: no it just happens when u get older. Me: so how do young kids get RA then? Her: (getting frustrated with me asking questions so gives me attitude) look I've been doing this a long time and I know it when I see it. just go do these blood tests and I'll schedule a follow up appointment. I did the tests but never went back just solely on how inconsiderate and unhelpful she was. I bounced around to a few more docs including another RA specialists but none could give me any answer as to what actually causes it which made me deep dive into the internet to see what I can find. what I found tells me that not only do they actually know they straight up lie to patients to get them locked in to prescription drug treatments that only lower symptoms but never fix the cause. damaged digestive tract or "leaky gut" both RA specialists had sent me to a gastroenterologist when I never complained of stomach issues. I did complain of pain in my liver/gallbladder area which I now know was due to inflammation brought on by the leaky gut caused by neck and spine issues. basically compromised nerve supply to my organs either from dysfunctional vagus and phrenic nerve and nerves from the thoracic spine where I also have a lot of discomfort and tightness. every time I experience severe tightness in my neck or base of skull my symptoms get worse! I've done some neck traction on my own and some of these exercises and my symptoms have improved greatly over the last 7-8 months. still hard to gain my weight back even with the huge appetite I have. the reason I was always soo hungry more than ever before and still losing weight was Malabsorption ...due to the leaky gut. my body wasn't absorbing hardly anything from the foods and supplements I was chugging down. but once I starting doing the elimination diet and not eating foods that triggered my inflammation (also caused from leaky gut) I began improving. less inflammation equaled less joint irritation and I was able to exercise more and more. I am greatly improved from last year but still have a long way to go. still working on healing my gut as I do have some reactions to certain foods but not as bad as before. my neck and spine are the key for me and for many people the docs don't have a clue or don't really care. you're just a dollar sign to them and they want to keep u on a long term payment plan to keep their pockets full. that's the only reason most are going along with all this pandemic mandate bs and letting govmnts tell u how to treat patients. somethings really off about that! but that's a whole other story lmao.

I don't think this video is meant for everyone. I'm sure they're great exercises but people with Hypermobility issues, Craniocervical Instability and EDS might want to be careful with this.....it looks slightly aggressive. More gentle exercises would be helpful, at least at first I think

@@gunterbecker8528 You mean when she said to do the exercises less intensely next time if you feel some uncomfortable sensations? Is that the part you're referring to? Because EVEN IF done less intensely, they are still aggressive for some people with these conditions. Pulling on your neck is the last thing you want when you have loose ligaments. Unfortunately I have many years of experience with these type of things and I can tell you it's not pretty. If I can save other people from going through the hell I went through, I will try as best as I can.

What is EDS?
@Tatacchan
@Tatacchan 2 жыл бұрын
@@jaymevogl4338 EDS is Ehler Danlos Syndrome. It's when you have VERY lax and loose ligaments, stretchy skin and generally affects other parts of you body so you would tend to suffer from other health conditions like POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome), digestive issues and others. According to conventional medicine it's genetic...but that's not always the case. I know a lot of people who have healed from it when they healed from pathogens, toxins and started to eat a fresh fruit and fresh veggie diet.

Whoa!! Has anyone had an atlas injury without access to an upper cervical or atlas chiropractor specifically, and got better with exercises like this? How long did this feel good for you? I'm excited to find out & incorporate this into my daily PCS recovery. I live in a remote community, & although I'm seeing a great team of various health care practitioners, these exercises felt like my neck just left a manual therapy treatment! It's been +1year since my concussion/whiplash (minor kyphosis) car accident, not able to live a regular day - Making huge progress since identifying upper cervical & kyphosis issues, but still feeling like the atlas needs extra love

Be careful - these don't always help. If issues with the atlas are coming from weak and overextended mid back and forward head posture, these can only relieve symptoms temporarily or depending on degree of your pain, make your muscles only more agitated and prone to inflammation. Over-stretching and over-pressing on these areas without addressing the root cause for chronic pain in these areas (such as strengthening the deep muscles of a weak mid back), will only cause more pain.

Hi there 🙂 Thanks for your comment! Don't worry about it, these exercises are designed to be performed on your own and easily at home to help yourself. 💪 Before you get started, one very important tip: always use your personal pain scale from one to ten as a guide. You will get the best results if you always work at a level eight or nine. Nine means: You feel intense pain, but you can still breathe calmly during the exercise and do not have to tense up. This applies to all exercises and avoids worsening your pain or harming your body. 🙂 Please learn more about our pain therapy and how our exercises work in our informative article on the cause, symptoms, and treatment of atlas vertebra problems. Give it a read! 👉 lie-br.com/yt-cm3-atlascorrection However, as a precaution, you can always check in with your physician before you attempt any of the exercises. 🙏🙂 All the best Hannah from Liebscher & Bracht

Brilliant video. Reminded me to stretch more. And to get back into Yoga. Stretching is something we all neglect. And yet it is vtial to our health. I found this video because I've been having neck pain. I did the very first excercise (look into your right pocket), and OMG, instant relief. I could feel all the tension running down my spine, I could feel the misalginment. I will need to continue to do this excercise, at least twice a day. And also the childs pose from yoga. AS well as the Warrior Pose. And downward dog. I legit thought I had arthritis of the neck. When actually, it's simply a misalignment of the atlas. I mean seriously, that first excercise. BAM! I don't hear any grinding any more turning my head. I still hear it tilting it back and forward. But then, I've only just done 1 excercise. It's going to take a while to realign completly. THANK YOU I know for sure if I were to go to my doctors, they would have prescribed pain killers and put it down to old age. I would have had to press them for anything more. You would not believe how miserable I've been the past few months. What are the chances of the very first excercise being the solution to my issue. I don't feel a thing when I look into my left pocket. But looking into my right. I can FEEL all the misalignment, all the tension. The fact it gave my muscles a chance to relax... BLISS!! I have optimism for the first time in a LONG time. Thank you sooo much.

Only Atlas Orthogonal, using the Swesat Percussion Instrument can adjust the Atlas perfectly. Doing it manually can only try to align it. If not done perfectly then yiur vertebral arteries will still be strained to some degree, still causing problems. This is fact. actually, most people are permanently out of balance unless they’re getting good adjustments. It doesn’t really matter what age you are or the condition of your spine, it just depends on how much better you can be from there. I have had people older than you with similar issues do very well. I’ve had younger people with less issues than you not too well if you can find someone that does good work. I’m hoping that you’ll benefit even with what you have.

I am just going to add the comment on here. If this makes you worst when your stretching within normal means, it is likely you have some sort of CCI (Cervical Cranial Instability) or AAI. In that case, you should seek treatment from an atlas orthogonal chiropractor or nucca. CCI is hard to diagnose. An X ray through the mouth will catch the angle of the misalignment or a digital motion X ray. Don't go to a normal chiropractor and don't stretch your neck anymore. If it keeps getting worse, you might need to seek help from a neurosurgeon.
