@@Sal3600why should we encourage corner cutting for the sake of extra pennies? Listen to yourself man. These are human lives, how does money even compare? Growth for the sake of growth is what cancer does. Endlessly chasing profits leads to resource exhaustion and isn’t sustainable. We have finite resources on this planet. Why throw everything away just to see the numbers go up? You’ve been conditioned by the wealthy. The rich aren’t on your side. We’re all being exploited by the top 1% but their brainwashing and propaganda has been so effective a lot of us can’t even see it. Who benefits from profits? Bc it’s definitely not the little guy. There is no rich without the poor. Society rests on the shoulders of the laborers but the wealthy want you to think otherwise so you accept the status quo.

@@Sal3600 the common misconception is that it has to be like that. No it doesn't have to. We simply choose to have it this way. It's our own game with our own rules. Don't get me wrong, I don't have solutions for that. i just say that we make the rules and when rules lead to bad outputs we have everything we need to stop doing it that way... We simply choose not to because we are scared that we may end up even worse... So we struggle in the current situation, scared and lying to ourselves that it has to be this way.

Our perception is our greatest gift and our weakest link. This flexible fundamental layer of experience that can be shaped, tuned as if it has settings, but without understanding that, others will and do adjust those settings for you. Without you having a clue. That ignorance is a massive vulnerability. If you go thru life without a thorough understanding of how and why you see things the way you do, you do not have much control over what you do or how you think, because those who DO understand it are targeting your perception to shape it for their benefit. Your perception is everything, learn it, guard it, own it. This should be taught to every human from an early age, the fact its not tells you a ton.

I understand your perspective on self-help gurus selling you false dreams, telling you you're inadequate as you are, and their portrayal of traditional jobs. While I agree that some of their messaging can paint an unrealistic picture, I also think there's a grain of truth in their message. I don't think I've ever talked to somebody working a conventional job who genuinely loves what they do. I don't necessarily believe that having a conventional job is inherently wrong. Self-help gurus may have extreme views on self-improvement, but I feel like the core message of aspiring to become the most exceptional version of ourselves, leaving a lasting and memorable impression on others and challenging conventional practices is what makes their message resonate with their viewers.

480 000 die every year in the US from cigarettes. Compare that to the US death toll during the whole of WW2. The smoking of 1 year roughly equals all US military deaths in the whole of WW2. Maybe, instead of sending billions to Ukraine and Israel, spend some money on reducing smoking deaths. Then again, treating illness if very lucrative. Like cancer. A cure will be expensive for the health industry.
