Again want to say I appreciate this channel. The KPM is my first bike and I remember having been afraid I wouldn't find good resources that a beginner like me could understand. With these videos I feel pretty confident I can work on the bike 👍

Your welcome David, your wife would probably love the Lifan KPV 150 scooter. I took it for a ride and man it runs and rides really nice, and my wife loves it.

Great, thorough video! As far as the chain, most riders will be happy to get 1,000 miles on the stock chain. (This might be a year or two...) On my KPM200 Scrambler, I needed to add a link to the chain to accomodate the larger dual sport tires. This gave me the excuse to upgrade to a better O-ring chain that should last at least 5,000 miles, maybe more!
@herbiesgarage6815 ай бұрын
Thank you, yeah I just upgraded to a new Japanese RK chain. I choose to run a standard chain because it has less rolling resistance, the small hp bikes need all the help they can get sometimes 😁

As for chain life, my experience has been, if out of adjustment range, change it. I have 21,000 miles on my 900cc bike chain. So far, so good. No abuse and maintainance is the key.

Herbie, Thank you so much for making these videos! Your content convinced me to go ahead and purchase the Lifan KPM 200! It's been a blast, and it's been much less intimidating because of your videos. Much appreciated, sir. Question - my girlfriend is 5'6" and is wanting to learn to ride. She really loves the look of the KPM but it's a little too high for her, haha. Is there a safe and practical way to lower the KPM? Figured if anybody knew, it would be you. Cheers!
@herbiesgarage6814 ай бұрын
@@dapperwolfe Oh that’s great, I’m glad that you like the KPM, what great bikes. As far as lowering it, it’s always possible to lower one by sliding the forks down in the triple trees in front and either getting a shorter rear shock or lowering links for the shock. Most likely you would have to fabricate that yourself as I don’t know of anyone that makes those. I did a video on lowering the Venom Thunder 125 if you wanted to watch that. Good luck, let me know if I can help with anything

@@GR-jq2qp it would be the same most likely, the only real difference would be that on the KPR you and the passenger would have more of a forward lean. On the Kpm you would both be more upright and in my opinion would be more comfortable

Hi! I want to buy the lifan kpm200 but all of a sudden I’m seeing these bad venom Motorsports reviews. But everyone on KZbin recommends them and I want to order from them, what do you think? It’s my first bike and I don’t want to run into trouble. Thanks man! God bless.

@@BurgerSleuth-yx1ke Venom is a good company and I never worry about ordering from them. Some people you just cannot please no matter what, if you have ever worked in a public arena you know what I mean. 😊 You can check out chinariders.net and read the reviews there if you like to. There are stories Venom going above and beyond what they would have to do just to try and make the customer happy. The Lifan Kpm is a great bike and I think the price is the lowest I’ve seen it with the $100 they are offering. I have ordered 7 motorcycles from them so far and everything went smooth on all of them. If you have questions call and talk to them, they will answer the phone and answer all of your questions. Good luck with decision and let me know how it goes if you decide to buy one. God bless, my friend
