I’ve never seen this movie, but I knew the moment the mother asked for her baby back, she practically spilled the beans who the father was. It’s a mothers instinct to keep her child safe. And if her daddy had figured it out, it was going to get ugly and she wanted her baby as far away from that as possible. It’s a beautiful thing, a mother’s intuition. But again, she might as well have pointed right at him. Thankfully, the father had his friends to cover for him.

@Noir Path what are you saying, there’s been like hundreds of slave movies, yes the narrative is tired. I meant like the comedians from today don’t hit the same like back then. All of Kevin harts movies are trash in my opinion and I can’t really name other huge black comedians who are as big today in the new era.

You had to be there when this film was first released in theaters. The audience literally did not stop laughing at this scene. This movie was funny, sad, real, tense. Great film making. It's one thing to witness great film making watching at home, but sometimes with a crowd, it becomes a memorable "life" moment (no pun intended)
