I’ve been an active ketamine addict for 15 years had 3 years clean time in the 15 years with a relapse Covid lockdown. Just joined the fellowship and been working with getting clean. I share this young man’s pain and I’m glad someone’s speaking out on the healthcare system and lack of help. Towards the end you feel like dying because you can’t see the pain going away. You feel self isolated and alone. If there’s anyone out there that feels alone or have burned all your bridges please join Narcotic Anonymous there’s no judgement and a huge amount of support from amazing people.

Can relate to this so much, the poison is different but the behaviours are the same. I didn’t find my surrender till I ran out of all possible options, to take my own life was the only way out I could see. Leaving two children behind. Luckily I found AA instead, 2yr 7 months in and now working in drug and alcohol services there have been Ketamine webinars for all staff within our organisation I haven’t got in it yet but there’s a number of dates. Jack thank you for telling me your story, it’s been really informative, you deliver a strong message 🙏🏻

I sniffed Ket every day with my best mate for 5 years until he died from a collapsed lung from ketamine getting into the lungs from sniffing and surprisingly this wasn’t my turning point to stop my turning point was my mum crying breaking down in front of me and her telling me how scared she is to loose me and that she’d be full of guilt

This will be very inspiring and relatable to a lot of people. You explain things really well Jack. Ketamine is a generational problem and the physical problems are shocking as you explained. Just an idea but I feel there is a book to be written about your story Jack!

This was a really positive Podcast. I know of Ketamine from friends who took it now & again in the past, but I didn’t know much about it, and Jack huge respect for being so honest & open, its whats needed to really help people. This Podcast & Part 2 were compelling, even though I dont take it, now I’m older I like to keep aware of newer things for the future as I have family reaching their teen years etc & I’d hope to be someone to talk to for them. So glad you have managed to make the life you have today Jack, and wish you the best with your health, hope gradually it improves that bit more. You have found your purpose in the battle & journey you have fought through. This kind of information is SO important for young teens & upwards. Best Wishes & Prayers to you & your family❤️🙏🏼💪🏼👏🏼

I'm not sure about his mum, she probably meant well, but the Dad wasn't present emotionally at least and probably also physical presence thereby creating the issue and then he's exacerbated the problem with lack of understanding. And this kid is fully blaming himself for everything. Personally I don't even blame the parents, I blame society for Programming the father for focussing on providing with materialistic things rather than true connections with his child. I'm pretty sure it's a common problem in society these days.

You're onto something here for sure. There's almost always a deeper root cause to these behaviours.
