This is heartbreaking! I can relate. Lost my ragdoll at 5.5 yrs old due to Pancreatic Cancer. Still rack my brain as to how did she develop this? The worst part is that I lost my husband to the same thing in 2019. My heart pains for you and Charlie! Sending thoughts and prayers for comfort and peace as you navigate this grief.😰

Sorry for your loss Charlie looks wonderful in that exclusive green garden you have it’s so good to see Nature you do a good job with the flowers and plants, I live in a city my cats stay in an apartment bldg they are 15 nerver know when one of my litter mates will pass. I have thought about you several times since you shared the news about Trigg. To get a double dose of gut wrenching news at the vet on the same day is too much for a person to handle. I hope Charlie has many more years left with you. Such interesting things from the animal communicator. Aww, the way Charlie looked quickly at you when you said "Chiggy". It was like he was asking, " What? Is he here?" 💙💙💙

Thx. Charlie’s wasn’t gut wrenching only because I’m soo familiar with kidney disease. It can be a very slow process if they respond well to things. And I was warned 3 years ago in a blood test that they were going to have renal disease in 2 years. I’m not surprised from our years of dry food. But get this - Trigg’s kidneys were great 😢

In 2022 I lost my then 16 year old Panda and still had my the 17 year old Boop. She did not eat normally for about 2 weeks. She was snapping at the younger two cats. She was very cuddle with me and vocal. She gradually seems to heal and got her appetite back after a month. I do agree with this type of loss being much harder to bear…. When I lost Panda in 2022 she had dementia and I had her euthanized due to increasing seizures. Boop had acute kidney failure where I lost her quickly over 3 weeks. She went from fine to not being able to walk or eat so quickly… I hope you and Charlie heal over time. It is hard, but remember the good times!

Jenny, I couldn't have been more shocked than when I saw this video yesterday, and on my Sterling's 18th birthday. It made me hug "my handsome prince" (that's what I call him) and say more endearing things to him for a long time. I had no idea Trigg was even sick. I'm so sorry.

@@Floppycats Thanks, Jenny. You know, each beloved one's passing is different, so I don't know exactly what you went through, but I know exactly how you feel. At 18, Sterling could go any minute. I hate to leave the house. From the minute the life goes out of their eyes, I completely shut down for a few days until I can cope, but I know you have a good, supportive family (I don't) so that helps. That's the way it should be. Don't worry about getting videos out. Take as much time as you and Charlie need.

I’m glad you are both doing fairly ok, yes lots of us will miss Chiggy, I was really sad when I read your post. I hope Charlie starts eating better, it’s rough. Oh on the kidney subject, so I watch another KZbinr with cats and she kind of started a company doing research with another company about feline kidney disease, because she has one cat called TT who has had early markers of it for a while. Then I believe it was her mums cat who is 18 years old who she has taken in recently as he was soo ill and the vet said he only had a few weeks left but after the treatment he been on he’s been running around and doing much better and it’s been months now. It’s hard to understand the info as she’s in sounth Korea and the researchers she’s working with are in Japan but I believe one of the things was coq10 supplement, I’m not sure if there’s anything else is in it, but that’s what I managed to make out. She shared the cat TT with early stage and their Creatinine levels and they went from 2.9 to 1.7, I believe this was over the course of a couple of years while they were doing the research. She now has all her 11 cats on the supplement as a preventative and all their Creatinine levels seem to have reduced slightly. I know obviously the 18 year old cat has had a lot of other treatment at the vets. I believe the company is called AIM and I believe the supplement is called Dr Toru Protocol. I don’t know if it’s useful at all but I thought it was worth sharing with you incase. Edit: Oh I’ve just looked and there is now a website in English, last time I was on their website I believe it was all just Korean but then said they were working on it

@@Floppycats Yes that’s the website, I hope it’s of some use, the fact they are saying you can give it as a preventative is interesting and they have been researching for quite a few years now it seems. I was wondering if anyone in America has been doing any similar research or testing of this. The name of her main channel in English is Claire Luvcat, you might see a video about 18 year old general and that should talk about other treatments he’s had too. The vets seem really good over there from everything I’ve seen on her videos. Her main vet recently lost his cat, the cat was 23 years old. Her channel is a bit chaotic at the moment as she’s just had to move to another apartment with her 11 cats 😆 I remember a while back she was also working developing a cat litter that she now uses and she said she did it for her cat TT who has the early kidney signs but I’m not sure of any information about that or why she likes it 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had my last senior cat die around age 12. I had gotten 2 kittens for the last year of his life. Him and the male kitten bonded. After he died the kitten was definitely depressed wondering where he was. Eventually he had bonded to me but I feel bad he lost his fur buddy. When my living situation gets better I'll get another male cat for him to hopefully bond with. He has a sister but they're not that close compared to his buddy that passed.

I grieved for sooo long after my last cat/boyfriend (not kidding about that, I adored him) passed. Trigg was in the first vid I saw from your channel when I was researching ragdoll cats eight years ago and I have loved him since then. In fact, I decided to go ahead and get a ragdoll after watching your cats and Timo😭. I hope you find peace and I pray that Charlie has a long and healthy life. There is a Korean KZbinr- Claire Luvcat (formally, cream heros) who is on a mission, along with a Japanese lab, to find a cure for kidney disease for her cats. She has had some success with her 18 yr old Siamese cat, General. Not sure if you know of her or if it will be of any help to you but I have been following her progress closely, just in case my cats develop (knock on wood) the disease. Be strong for Charlie!!! thank you, i think kidney disease varies cat to cat and Charlie has other issues - like flea allergy dermatitis and a head tremor from things. He also was fed dry food for 12 years and got too many vaccines, so all of that wasn't in our favor. I am pretty used to managing kidney disease - unlike Trigg's end of life mess, it doesn't bother me as much. I looked up Claire Luvcat, but don't see the kidney stuff? Do you have a link?
