To be fair, of the 5 dead only 2 were homicides - the Police office beaten to death and the lady shot to death. The 3 others seem to be heart attacks etc - which seems confusing and might be avoidable but isn't 'violence' or necessarily someone's fault. Someone could get heatstroke and die at a genuinely peaceful event, or be crushed at a concert for example, even if these people didn't. There also doesn't seem to have been much arson, or usage of weapons by rioters. I understand not wanting to give credit to rioters for not making a bad event worse. In terms of violence and criminal damage this is not the worst riot in the past 12months.
