Ignorant, I don't know. Complicit, when not actual actors, for a good chunk of them, leading reconnaissance visits to the Capital et al, yes. The others were just blinded by their education that carves American exceptionalism deep in their brains. Some can't even fathom it could possibly happen, it's impossible! Even after it did happen. Some still talks of Biden's inauguration like it's going to put a definite end to all this, why not? That's the rule, isn't it? It's too far against everything they have been taught about their country.

Most people on the left have seen this coming. But due to the pandemic and all of the other events that have happened over here in the past 4 years most officials either brushed this off to be -“more important” things. Since no one has been openly talking about white supremacy(besides colored people) those who think it’s an issue, choose to ignore it. After all there isn’t much citizens can do until local and presidential election. Until election season comes, we just have to try correct supremest behavior, and avoid getting harassed cause we have the courage to correct these people.

I won’t own it, as an American. Because I voted for Clinton four years ago, and she won the popular vote. So the only way that Trump won the Presidency was through the Electoral College. Well maybe more Americans needs to stick to their professed moral and ethical beliefs. I bet that the strong convictions of the Polish people (including the strong Catholic convictions of many Poles) undoubtedly help them through tough times such as when they peacefully protested for freedom against the Soviet Union's rule. (I am not saying that people of other religions, agnostics or atheists cannot have strong moral and ethical convictions, I hope you understand.)

There is no moral obligation or social pressure to go too church (good thing in my opinion). You are free to believe whatever so it's more of national pride than the church holding us together.

Also I think a country should hold itself together through the moral and ethical application of patriotism built around,the nation, rather than around race or religion.) However I think unlike certain conspiracy minded posters here that Poland once being majority Catholic was not an inherently bad thing, especially since it helped them peacefully gain their freedom from an authoritarian regime.

big facts. america's public education system has taught so many post ww2 americans to believe that human history has always been a steady upward trend of progress and that american democracy will always be a sure thing. there were great kingdoms and empires across the world throughout all points of human civilization that lasted far longer than 244 years, and history has proven that democracies are the most fragile of all governments. bc so many americans fail to realize this, america is complacent, conceited and ignorant. that's the kiss of death for all great empires.
