We’ve been dreaming of finally taking our honeymoon for a loooong time ❤️ we are so grateful we got to go and take a few days off - this little cottage we visited was decorated for couples and newly weds and just too cute, so I had to have fun making a romantic little short film (I guess technically I did do a little bit of work, but I considered this creating art, which rejuvenates me - it was not my normal routine), I hope you enjoy it! I hadn’t taken a break from work long enough to remember how important it is to do little little retreats to reset - even if it’s just staying home and taking some quality time to connect 🥰 sending my love

Paola, Thank you so very much for creating a Most Enjoyable and Peaceful getaway for me.. I needed that little refreshing. Self care is something I lack proper timing on, I reflect daily or as close to daily as possible, reaching out to touch my loved ones, share a quick word of encouragement or a phone call just to make sure everyone Sounds as well as they say. Going for a walk through the neighborhood and waving at the neighbors and pet their dogs with happy wagging tails.. I try to intentionally slow my breathing and inhale the moments of memories.. when I make my weekly shopping trip.. I imagine I'm in an old 1 horse carriage clip clopping through a trail in the forest. Trees of all kinds. Branches reaching out as to welcome and shake my hand as my trusty gentle horse slows to give me a moment to greet each one. Wearing my favorite red sweater with hand painted wooden buttons I slip down from the carriage and give my horse a little nuzzle whispering I will not be long. Focusing on my list I set forward to gather the treasures and search High and low, rounding the lovely offerings and make difficult decisions of the many assortment of bounty for the season. As I gather my items and head back to my small carriage. My Trusty Horse is ready for the Journey home. * I was so relieved listening to you share how important self care is.. and how we need to create that time for ourselves.* I didn't realize how often I escape in my mind to reset for the demands I have daily. I learn so much from you and enjoy the gentleness you share.. I am committing to carve out time to soak in the tub. Drink a Special cup of tea, and Journal my thoughts.. perhaps there may be a short story or Moments with Mary somewhere hidden in my little journey's to town with My horse Master Maurice... I Love and Appreciate You and Thank you for your time as you invest in my life and self care.. Blessings to you Sweet Friend, 🙂💕

That was just lovely Paola. One of the big plusses of going on vacation is that it clarifies things that need changing in your life. I had a 1 1/2 day impromptu vacation in Puerto Rico. I had just sold my mother’s house. I am her caretaker. She has Alzheimers. The hotel I was in was horrible so I made a last minute switch. Oh Paola, it was paradise. It was only a day and a half yet that break sings to me. It sings to me still! The water, the breeze, the food, it really was paradise packed in a short pocket of time. I am retiring this year. My husband and I haven’t had a vacation in so many years. Thanks to my brother, who offered to take care of mom, we’re going on a getaway in June. Those are the memories Paola that strengthen you in good times and bad. Mil bendiciones desde Wisconsin!
