Hi Rachel! I'm so overwhelmed with research trying to know where I fit best. I'm currently 21 yo looking to start my studies in Canada next year on September 2022 Fall Intake. Initially, I plan on taking a 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design for Marketing in Kwantlen Polytechnic University but I saw the Digital Design & Development 2-Year Diploma Program in BCIT and I found it more broad meaning giving me a wider prospect on what job I can take after graduating (because it has web dev/design courses apart from actual graphic design and illustration). I really want to end up working in the same field as to what I studied. For graphic design in general, do you think getting a Bachelor's Degree is better than getting a Diploma? And will it help me land a better job and higher CRS points?

Hi Rachel! Thank you for sharing your video! It's very detailed, easy to understand and follow. I'm an aspiring international student and planning to take Business Information Technology Management at BCIT, however I'm having 2nd thoughts because of the reviews and feedback regarding the full load/workload of their courses. Hoping to get some feedback regarding the loads and schedule at BCIT. Thank you in advanced :)

Hi Ruth. Generally, BCIT does have accelerated programs that have a high level of workload. If you are interested in other schools that offer the same program, please check out my website canxvisa.com.

Hi Rachel, I have been following your vlogs. Just like to ask, would you think it's ideal for a person like me who is 30+ of age and study in Canada?
@rrdancel4 жыл бұрын
Hi Billy, it is possible to study in Canada at that age, as early 30s is still within university age. However, there are several factors involved that will determine if this pathway is best for you. 👍😊

Hi Rachel. Thanks for this video. I have a question if you don't mind answering since you touched on the topic of finances. You did say that you applied as an international student right after you graduated from college so I assume that you did not even work after college and saved money so you can finance your study in Canada. So how did you convince the immigration officer to grant you a student visa if you haven't worked at all? Did your parents financed your tuition and showed proof to the immigration officer that they can afford it? Thanks, I really appreciate the information.
@rrdancel3 жыл бұрын
I was 23 years old and my generous parents financed my education in Canada. The visa officer was convinced that may parents were capable of doing so and approved my study permit application.

hi rachel! just wanted to ask if it was hard to create the letter of intent? I am struggling to decide on a course because I am worried that if I do choose a course that is on a different track from my undergraduate degree (business management), I might get rejected. I might be choosing a medicine-related field(2 year certificate, is this even a good decision? huhu), not sure. I have been watching your videos and I find them very useful! by far the best filipino-based channel for immigration to canada! hehee really gives me a clearer picture of life there and whether I could actually fit in the lifestyle. I heard you took a design course there even though you finished an engineering course. I have been out of college since 2018 so applying for anything relevant to academics is intimidating hahaha including academic IELTS! pls help huhu thanks so much!

is there an interview with the Canadian Embassy for International Student?
@rrdancel4 жыл бұрын
It really depends on the application, country and the applicant. Interview requests are often used by immigration officers to clarify an issue of problem with the application. Generally, not a good sign if you requested to attend an interview.

Hmmm after graduation, I was fortunate to find a job right away so I can work during the full term of my PGWP. I know to some finding a job asap may be quite challenging that’s why they opt to get 2 year study programs-as not to worry about the time constraint.

Hi Rachel, may I ask you if insurance for the therapy of my son with ASD will be covered by government health insurance if I will be applying for SP?
@rrdancel3 жыл бұрын
It really depends on each province's medical health coverage. Generally, international students will have to take up private health insurance. If that is the case, your private insurer will determine what you will be covered for.
@henryapilan81253 жыл бұрын
@@rrdancel for instance, if I will be applying for SP in Alberta are there government institutions who can help us cover the therapy or temporary intervention center for child with special needs or any support with regards to our case?

Hello po, aspiring student.here, it is true that choosing school may have the higher chance to be invited as PR?
@rrdancel4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question. Im not certain if I fully understood your question No school can really guarantee PR. There is an increased chance if the school you go to is a DLI that has PGWP-eligible programs. But in terms of school branding, it doesn’t really matter where you go - as long as you’re able to position yourself in a skilled job after graduation, you can increase your chances of becoming eligible for Express Entry.

@rrdancel4 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul Tiu, thank you for taking the time to write your question. However, reviewing your SOP is something I'm not authorized to do because I'm not an immigration lawyer/consultant. Also protecting your best interest because if i say something, it's considered legal advice that may potentially do more harm than good on your application. :P For better guidance, better to seek legal help from a professional. All the best!

@rrdancel4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I too don’t know what happened with me. 😂😂😂 i guess it’s all luck of the draw. But what is important is to find a job that falls under NOC A, B, or 0 if you want to apply for PR thru EE. So your studies and work can be mutually exclusive, as long as it still meets EE min requirements. Hope that answers your question.
