I’ve watched nearly all your videos and enjoyed every single one from your car camping, lockdown at home in your parents and now these new adventures. I’ve enjoyed them all. There’s a sense of melancholy running through your videos but this makes them real and deep. Yours are the best travel blogs I have seen and I watch a lot. I simply can’t understand why you don’t have hundreds of thousands of followers. It may be that your videos are too real and thoughtful for those who only seek popcorn escapism or that KZbin just isn’t pushing your vlogs. However, I think one day you will be noticed and celebrated for your work.

What u describe is called the 'human condition' I think we humans have the same ups and downs as u do. I'm a 66 year old woman single and still feel the emotions you describe so its a life long job.......I'm moving 600 miles to change my life.......I'm sure you'll be the same st 66! @@mortdog Mate you found a nice girl there, you deserve it, I feel like going to Philippines now, if it wasn't for my fear of flying, being 56 and broke Id go, I've felt the same as you've felt, created a channel then been successful then stopped when I realised I wasn't put on this earth to do those types of videos, burnt out is real, the constant need to upload for subscribers and for the algorithm and the dopamine hits, you feel you become a slave to YT, its horrible at times. You start off with one genre then gets subs then switch to another genre then YT algorithm whacks you, cause it calculates x amount or subs but these subs aren't watching and so doesn't refer to others so much, been there done it, YT isn't sympathetic to our changes of mind. I still follow you cause of your character, very likeable and interesting guy and relatable.

Hi Morts this is the first vlog of yours I've seen since the end of car camping as i wasn't too interested in the back packing stuff. Really I'm more interested in the person than the places they go as the whole travel vlog thing has been done to death imo. May i say that it looks like you're doing just fine and you may be just over thinking things, just enjoy the moment. I didn't realise you had a GF as i was going to suggest when you come home instead of getting on the propperty ladder and being a wage slave maybe buy some land so you can live cheaply out of a caravan or similar and still travel when you get the urge.

Good catch-up. Yeah, that 'feed-back loop' can be a bit of an arse, throw in some 'fomo' and it's a proper brain melt. Perhaps it's a throw back to our previous life as cave dwellers and having to be always on the move and keep up with the Jones'?
