I married a Colombiana in 2002. 22 years later and two great kids life is grand here in L.A. She is from Cartagena. If you want to meet a nice normal family oriented chica, DO NOT meet her at a bar or club or almost anywhere in the evening. Focus on air conditioned malls or outdoor malls in the daytime. Get there around 11am be dressed well. Never wear shorts. Slacks or nice jeans and a nice shirt be well groomed. There will be many beautiful chicas shopping or working in the stores. This is a target rich environment with almost no competition. Better to meet a nice shop girl who still lives at home who is not a pro. It won't be hard to meet a nice gal to take on a dinner date in the best restaurant on the area. She will be very happy. Save the night time girls for short term fun.

Wife and I were on a cruise that stopped in Cartagena and took a look bus ride tour to one of the mountain rainforest that was a designated National Nature Reserve. The main road to get to the park seemed almost as if I was on a mountainous regions in the U.S.-with occasional things that made you realize you are in another country on a modern four lane highway system. We got to the park entrance and were cleared to enter by automatic military weapons and military dressed guards. The ride to the summit was where we would find ourselves in the actual clouds-a tropical rainforest heavy with cloud mist and resident animals. We hiked a bit with the ladies accompanying us and giving information about what we were hearing seeing and possibly smelling. We ended at the open veranda overlooking the valley below and were given some locally prepared ‘national dishes’, which we thoroughly enjoyed. As my wife and I and a couple others were enjoying a little after meal respite. My wife looks at me the same time I looked at her and she said..’did you hear that?’ I said, ‘you mean that rapid…..she finished,…shooting?’ We didn’t notice if anyone else heard what we heard so as one our naturists was coming out of the building and asked if she had heard anything. As we started telling her..’gunfire’..she said that couldn’t be because it’s a nature reserve. Then she heard it and very calmly said, ‘can we go to the bus immediately. We’re going back to the city. We were quickly driven off that mountain and back on the four lane in a lot less time it took to get up that mountain. Nobody said anything on the way back to the ship.

Youre wrong about Medellins climate, its called the city of eternal spring for a reason. The climate is usually pleasant never getting too hot because it usually rains soon after. The humidity is very fair compared to other parts. A delicious breeze is a common weather phenomenon in Medellin. It is not "very hot" as you stated.

Med - ah yeen Medellin. My second city (wife is from there). Also its Bow - ga - taw Bogota, and Cart - a hey naw, Cartagena, and Gawh - tap -pey Guatape. I will never forget the day I was in that da!!mn country...only two hours after arriving we were assaulted...then the company for which job had to hire security personnel so we realized from the cameras that the person who had assaulted us was a active national police of Colombia...then at the hotel they wanted to scam us, they tried to rob us...then a police officer wanted money so as not to arrest us for an alleged paper that was not legal for him...I promised never to visit Latin America again, especially that da!!!mn Colombia and all the who may not go there, I tell them, don't go unless you have security personnel.

I was in Bogota for four days in 1984. The people were very friendly and the ladies are very beautiful and easy to talk to. I still remember the beautiful faces of two young ladies- one who was a hotel receptionist and the other a sales girl. Both assumed I was an African-Anerican. I told them I was from Ethiopia. Both did not know where Ethiopia is. The sales girl wanted to come to my hotel to improve her English. Unforunately I was leaning Bogota that evening. I think I missed a great "opportunity". The receprionist was a very gentel young lady with beautiful smile having beautiful teeth which I still see. She was a bit chubby but very attractive. I flirted with her a number of times and we talked about marriage in general. She said that she would consider marriaying me if we live in the US. But I did not want to leave my country for a lady even though I was extremely attracted to her. I hope she is doing fine.

Colombia is like any large country, it has safe and unsafe areas. They pronounce it as Cartahena not Cartagina., And the immigration Colombia is very corrupt, they wanted to charge me 1400$ to enter and when i did not pay they deported me right away. It is now 3 months I am trying to contact Colombian immigration regarding this nasty act that costed me 1000$ at least and never got answered , but I will try through Canadian Government and eventually will get them to pay my damages. So when you go there watch out for immigration officer trying to charge you for no reason.

That is why you need Jesus in your life, to ask for forgiveness of your sins and ask him to baptize you in his holy spirit, so he can help you overcome the sins in your life.
