The Midnight Library sounds like the type of book that would cause a massive existential crisis in me. I really regret certain decisions in my life that I believe had led my life to become this empty vessel void of any meaning. I feel like in a way, the Midnight Library is a real place for me, because all I think about every day if how my life could've been better if I haven't made those mistakes in the past. I daydream my own version of the Midnight Library and it makes me both sad and excited to live in those realities for a bit. Thank you for sharing that book Sarah. I'm currently reading "The Thursday Murder Club" by Richard Osman and I really love it. Would recommend if you're into cute, English countryside type of crime novels (kinda like Agatha Christie meets Midsomer Murders).

I love the sound of Sarah's Book Nook! 📚 I have been getting back to reading too, I am currently reading more nonfiction than fiction though. I am also currently reading about a war (...American Civil War 😅🙈). I recently I read A World On Fire, which goes on the diplomatic history between the US and UK during the civil war (...which also goes over briefly on why Canada became Canada 😏😉, in the latter third of the book). I am currently reading David Farragut's (America's first Admiral) biography, the one written by his son (...yeah a 19th century biography, might not be as scholarly rigorous as a modern biography but hey, it was still written from primary sources and it is an exciting read so far!).

The Violinist of Auschwitz reminds me of one of my all-time favorite books. In English it's called "The Story of 'Herman der Norweger' Auschwitz Prisoner 79235", in Norwegian (the original) it's called "Det Angår Også Deg" (which means "it also concerns you"). It's about the true story of Herman Sachnowitz, which was one of the only jews from Norway that survived the concentration camps, and he also was "lucky enough" to be put in the orchestra, because he played the trumpet. It's an absolutely amazing and heartbreaking book, and if you can get your hands on it I strongly recommend it.

Sarah, i enjoyed your Book Nook. I read a lot, always have, especially on vacation and evenings before sleep. I took notes on the 3 books. Ive always enjoyed wwIi fiction. The Nightingale is very good, French resistance. Elie Wiesel’s Night is memoir about the Holocaust, seminal. Glad you mentioned needing me time; i need that a lot, to restore myself. Kyuho, i thought your mom was retiring from her academy. I guess not. Sarah, have you considered going to graduate school to train for teaching in a field of interest? You already think in a very scholarly way, and you might deeply enjoy the stimulation of growing with ideas and pursuits. I did that at your age and it was great for me, expanding my mind in all sorts of directions. Thanks again for another nice video.
