Do you guys have a favorite flower 🌻 and re: the penny situation lol I was always taught to put it in and didn't know why but google now tells me "The copper in pennies is thought to act like an acidifier, which prevents the growth of bacteria." So hehe

One thing that helped me a lot when I started learning English: I would read books in English, and *whenever* I encountered a word I didn't know, *look it up.* Of course this is really slow and painful at first, it takes forever to just get through even a single page, but it really helps, and I improved really quickly that way.
@caricakes
@caricakes 5 жыл бұрын
My main problem is that I can learn a word after looking it up and recognize it when i read or hear it, but to actually come up with it myself when i need it to speak - its blank! i hope that a journal will force me to be able to use the words on my own ㅠㅠ

I LOVE your idea about journaling in Korean! I am starting to teach myself Korean. I discovered a video of a native Korean who speaks English and he said learn 1000 words in any language you want to speak and you will at least have a working knowledge of that language. So I am building a journal with Korean words.

This year it's decided, I'm gonna take the inspiration you give me and record my time in Korea! Just wanted to tell you haha ^^ I am definitely not a natural at commenting so I tend to be a silent viewer but yeah, always love what you do

I really loved the colors of this video! And also, I adore the way you're always exploring the city, wish I could do the same where I live :) oh, I'm the girl who did a digital painting of the photo you took at the 타자기 coffee, tks again for the inspiration and for always showing us beautiful places just like the flower market. Also thanks for the diary tip, I'll try to have one in english (i cant maintain one in portuguese but maybe now that i have a goal...) because i need to improve it and my korean is too basic for that kind of thing, but one day... who knows. Have a nice week, Cari

Cari! I really recommend the diary idea, I keep one in Japanese, and I've been doing it since February, every couple of days, and my tutor corrects it. The difference it made was tremendous, my writing and understanding skills literally skyrocketed and I understood so much more grammar points easily, it helped me read faster too. I learnt a lot of new words so quickly.. some of the most obscure words, that only my diary would ever need, hehe 🌸

cari cakes oh.. me too. it was like “today was cloudy” “I went to eat with my friends” .. the same thing so I just started writing about my thoughts for the day or like random feelings // things I’ve noticed for the week or something like that 🌿🍃
