Milk in boxes are packed in Tetra Brik which uses UHT processing to maintain the taste and protect the milk from bacteria. It is a process which was introduced by the Swedes decades ago. Yes the vibe in the Philippines is more laidback and that is part of the culture. We have learned to smile and be patient on the imperfections of our society. Maybe that is the reason we have low suicide rates in the country. There is less stress compared to living in the US.

First time to watch a video of yours. I am subscribed to, and watch a lot of Philippine expat vloggers. But I'm very surprised because I believe that all, if not almost all, of the advise you gave, and all the points you've talked about in this video, are the BEST advise, and are the most relevant points that would be most useful for others who are thinking, or have decided to become an expat and move to Philippines. All expat vloggers will, and have given the best advise, and talk the relevant points or information, BUT would also give some that would not be the best advise, and mention things that really are not very important information or needs more research and sometimes just wrong. So keep it up, and God bless.

These are some very good tips. I want to come in on the Filipino English. You’re the first person to make this important distinction that I’ve heard. Before studying Tagalog I sometimes struggled to get the right message across in English. If I said the same thing in Tagalog it would be understood correctly. What I found was that they are often interpreting your English words in their native language, changing the meaning drastically. Because I learned Tagalog I ask my so to tell me in Tagalog when i detect some English was bring misunderstood. 100% of the time it has a different meaning in her primary language. I can’t stress enough if you love the Filipino you are with, you need to make effort to learn their language. It’s hard enough to avoid misunderstanding with a native English speaker, so now we’re on hard mode.

The tetra pack milk is a long life milk and doesn't necessarily needed to refrigerate, unless it's opened or used but if it's displayed then the temperature must be at the right room temperature or else it will be spoiled. The other milk which is called a fresh milk is needed to refrigerate always whether display or in use, but there's also a limit temperature to maintain which is 5* to 9* degrees chilling.

Cutting in line is not a common practice in the Philippines. It is more likely that someone who was ahead of you in line had a friend or relative accidentally join them, resulting in the person being automatically included instead of cutting in line directly. In restaurants, especially upscale ones with many kitchen staff. However, in simpler establishments with fewer kitchen workers, it may be more common.

I have been living in Cebu city for almost 6 months, after moving here from New York, and as someone who enjoys cooking a lot, I have to say going to the grocery store in the Philippines is a whole new experience ! The fruits and vegetables are totally different and the meats, especially hamburger and steak taste nothing like the meat in the US, So it’s a real challenge to cook things I like, Really enjoyed the channel thanks 😎

Poverty is the reason for laziness. That most other Filipinos have weaknesses, most of which are laziness. They are just content with being a beggar and want accepting things they don't work hard. Then if you don't help them, they may be accused of you as a bad person. One more thing, most of the beggars which you can find in the city were those who were trying their journey in the city, but unluckily, they ended up working with the syndicate of catering beggars in the street. There are either some who fled away from their cruel employers or they were being kicked out from their rented houses or apartments. They don't want to go back to their province but instead, they prefer to live in poverty in the city rather than going home with shame.

You don't know this people that's you said are beggar almost this are from the mountain people tribe, they want to know how to live in the City, And the others are from the province this people also have a land they own, but they want to live in the big city, if you don't want to help it's ok, no one say your a bad person, this beggar that what you say are difficult to find work bcoz almost they don't know how to speak tagalog and not go to school, they want to eat so that's why they be a beggar in the street, than to be a thief or become a zombie people like in your country USA mature, Even in the slum community mostly them are have a big money to keep but look like only poor,

The Philippines do not have any govt welfare that can help the poor. Poor in America are really not poor because the govt helps them. In the Philippines, no one helps the poor except for charitable organizations and the Catholic charities. We are on our own. And that is why you see a lot of sari-sari stores because poor families try to make ends meet by being resourceful, enterpreneurial. We have little kids selling flower leis, cigarettes or magazines/newspapers, offering to wipe your car's windshield, tires, etc. because we are taught to learn to earn a living and then help the family by adding to the income. THAT NEVER HAPPENS IN THE USA. Americans have SNAPS, MEDICAID, SOUP KITCHENS, ETC. Filipinos only have their own wits and resourcefulness mostly.
