Hanoi is the capital in Vietnam 🇻🇳 but Vietnamese people are very kind and generous heart ❤️ ♥️ 💜. That Pho 🍜 🍲 is super nutritious and very well-balanced meal 🥘 🍽️. That bánh xèo (Vietnamese Pancake) with a good 👍🏻 😊 😌 crispy taste 👅. My family loves pho and bánh xèo are the best delicious 🤤 😋 food 🥘 🍱 🍲 by making it at home 🏡 🏠. Went to little saigon in Westminster CA during our family reunion and feels like I'm back in Vietnam again. Pho everywhere you turn. Also the nightmarket at the Asian garden mall was very crowded during weekends.

The bed mattress at my family house in Indonesia is also SUPER FIRM! I woke up with aches and pains 😅 I love Bun Rièu Tomato-Crab Noodle soup. I made it by watching your vlog with your girlfriend, so delicious, eventhough I have never tasted that dish before, but my in-laws' Vietnamese friends said it was really good! 👍 I still cannot have a hot soup dish, like the popular meatball soup, from a street food in Jakarta. The weather is so hot and humid already!! I can probably have it inside an a/c building but I never did 😂

I love both places you chose in Hanoi, but that 2nd place was so nice with all that greenery! It makes me happy to see beautiful plants like that outside my window. Hope it wasn't anything bad that made you cut your trip shorter in Hanoi, though. You should do a few food tours while you were in Hanoi. Lots of people do them and love them and you can ask them to customize it for you. Check out banh cuon, cha ca la vong (turmeric and dill fish dish...a bit pricier in the nicer restaurants, but should be worth it), bun rieu (some come with snails and such), bun dau mam tom (reminds me of a soondae platter I tried recently...but the Viet version is WAY more delicious as the blood sausage is tastier and it comes with fried tofu and fresh herbs...you can choose fish sauce if you cannot eat shrimp paste...watch Max McFarlin's video on it as he'll show you where he ate it in Hanoi and how to mix the shirmp paste properly), bun ca (the fried fish noodle soup), pho tron (dry pho noodle bowl), bun bo nam bo, etc.

Banh xeo is my favorite 😋 Vietnam is HOT/HUMID! Especially south in Ho chi minh city! We were there in March, idk what to expect, I was told Hanoi was cooler, but I guess since its summer, it doesn't matter! I've followed you for years, watching this making me wants to write some comments. I don't know whether is this Malaysian Chinese style or not. I usually ate my youtiao soaking or dipping into hot beverages such as Milo/Chocolate, Coffee or Tea. Other Asian like Hong Kong they had it with rice congee or mixed bean sweet porridge. Surprisingly there are another way of eating youtiao in Vietnam, soaking in noodle soup/pho.

I'm Vietnamese and I grew up eating it dipped into the chao (congee) and banh canh (udon style noodle soup, the popular one comes in crab flavor and is called banh canh cua. Hanoians eat their pho with it as well, which isn't done in the south unless they are Hanoi style pho owners. Vietnamese also dip the fried breadsticks in beverage.

Can't believe you're visiting VN ✨💪 Some places for you to consider If you plan to go to Saigon (or HCMC) (this is just based on my taste :D) 1. Try Phở Phú Vương (120 Nguyễn Thái Bình, District 1, HCMC) 2. Cơm tấm Ba Ghiền (quite expensive tho) or any legit cơm tấm shop you found on the street LOL 3. Can try Bụi Restaurant (several branches) and Secret Garden restaurant (outdoor seats, nice at night). Both serve quite authenthic Vietnamese dishes but the prices are above-average, Bụi is more expensive. 4. Bún bò Huế (bun bo Hue). 5. Coffee. You can just pick local vendors on the pavement but just a warning that not all street vendors sell authentic coffee. Or any nice coffee shop that you found ;) Or just drop me a PM and I can give you some recommendations :P 6. If you have more time, try to dig in Saigon's China town in District 5, 6 and 11. Amazing food scene there. Have a good time here Seonkyoung!!
