I've been watching Silent Service for awhile. I might recommend this series. Very interesting. My generation! Things have change over the decades for the better. I was PN3, Ship's Office, USS FOX (DLG-33) Vietnam 1968. ☮

We pulled into Pearl Harbor and spotted a nuke sub nearby and asked for a tour. We were " kindly " asked to get off their gang plank ! later we were welcomed onto an old diesel sub. They told us it used to be classed as a " fast attack class" and now it classed as a " slow approach sub " .Great sub and crew.

SO DIFFERENT from the Diesel/Electric submarines, ( 5 ), that I served on in the 60's and 70's.
