Hi beduiini, for some reason there is no reply option for your comments so hopefully you get this. Thanks for the comments and yes using the rubbing compound all the time would be a bit much. I use that only once every year or two, but the other two steps I do twice a year. I didn't explain that very well I think in the video. This was one of my first 'instructional' type videos I was making. Of course I am still learning all the time and trying to deliver better and better videos. :)

Just finished first part of polishing my boat. It's a backbreaking, tho satisfying work.

Hi! Looking really clean, good and shiny mate! :) But wont it be too harsh to the gelcoat when you do it few times a year? Greetings from Finland!

Dumb questions; I guess you do the work right off your dinghy, but how do you stabilize yourself to use the electric buffer? I'll be doing mine when weather gets cooler, so thought I ask. Nice looking gelcoat. I guess at night the boat gives honor to her name. Thanks for sharing.

My question also, Do you do it from the dinghy?
@lifeislikesailing8 жыл бұрын
Yes I polish it from the dingy and I tied it to the toe rail so that it doesn't push away when I am buffing. :)
