I think it's pretty hard to have good conversations about life because you have to think really long to get good conclusions (I don't even think you can get conclusions out of it, I suppose theories is a better way of saying it), and I think it can be really hard to put things like these in words without writing it down because a lot of it is so complicated. I say a lot of I think because it is how I feel about things and it's not the same for everyone hahaha

i dont think we have any reason to believe that 'deep' conversations are required to have a good life. you should be frustrated that most people arent into philosophy as much as you should be frustrated that most people arent into playing YuGiOh: its just not for everyone plus, youd have to draw boundaries between what is deep and what is not, which is hard and unnecessary i think critical thinking and self-reflexion are useful inasmuch as they reveal to you what you truly want, let you take better decisions and make you more focused inside our fast-paced and overwhelming life one does not need to be well read on ethics or metaphysics to feel meaningful and happy im glad, though, when people become interested in these things - as i am that you and the people who watch these vids are we just cant push it down people's throats. not liking philosophy or 'deep questions' does not make someone less valuable. and this is coming from a philosophy major!

I've thought this since I was 10 years old, since as soon as I started to think about why we were in school from 9:00am until 4:00pm EVERY DAY when it would only take maybe 5 weeks to learn all the info you need for the end of year exams. And when my parents told me that the bank owns your home until you pay it off. And that when you leave school in most jobs you are not entitled to more than 2 months of holidays a year. So you go to work every day and only get the time your employer chooses to give you off. You don't get to decide. How can people think they're free?? They're delusional but I'm the crazy one for thinking it.

Yung October You see, that’s where everything gets tricky. We’re all understanding and perceiving the world from our own level of conciousness. We have grown very far apart from what it means to exist and be human. Imagine a world with of pure connection and pure action and deep understanding of the self and how we are infinitely connected to each other and the universe, imagine this is understood and put into practice by all of humanity. There would be no rich or poor, there would be no war, the world would work together in harmony. It’s very radicle, most can’t even fathom or entertain the idea because of their level of conscious perception. Those who have seen the vision, know that it can exist.

@LostSoulAscension
@LostSoulAscension 4 жыл бұрын
They only contradict if you're not outside of it. From the outside looking in, you see that how you spend your life, can be relatively argued as just as meaningful either way you take. To spend time making memories with friends with or without using your phones, or studying for classes instead of hanging out with friends so you have a good job n family in the future, or practicing your instrument to become a great musician. He says after the sentence you quoted, that it's only when we step back and see from an outside perspective that we can then decide the best outcome for our lives, what do we really want. And from there, your choice, what it may be, is at least yours knowing, and that any contentions with your consciousness will cease by claiming your action with integrity and ownership.

Also agree, but you are not looking on it from outside , you're living it, and if you really waste your time you're going to soon found out that you don't feel good, or happy, or full field, so to you it's not the same. I didn't know where to start, so i just want to mention that you could discuss happiness as the only true gold in life, and the thing you experience as only real thing. Of course, you could also argue about what is wasted time.

Wasting our energy for a better higher status or in an endless law suit..trying to be loved or approved by people who turn out to be absolute idiots. Seneca himself was ambivalent. He was thought to be the richest man of the Roman Empire. That's what make his books so interesting. He knows first hand where greed, ambition,lust, useless quarrels lead us.

Can I just say... you are the only channel that actually brings me peace and hope and some degree of a wilingness to live. My bones shiver when I hear ramblings of self help gurus. Most of the therapists I had were pathetic and dumb and didn't know what they were doing there as much as myself. The people around me are no solace. Solitude is better but still bad. Most of books attempting to alleviate psychological suffering seem naive and make me angry. Meds helped but were like freezing my brain to get rid of a heart ache. You on the other hand strike the perfect balance of beauty and wisdom. You somehow manage to educate without being pretentious. You hipnotize without meaningless distractions. I always start my day with your videos as soon as I open my eyes and make myself some cofee. It shuts down the morning ''Fuck, not this again'' mindset like nothing else. Thank you, sir.

A few years ago I was extremely depressed. I was always stressed about little things everyday and always had anxiety about life. I took 3 grams of shrooms and it completely changed my life. Shrooms showed me not to stress so much and made me realize all the problems in my head/life. After the experience I felt better. It was wierd. Till this day I'm happier than I have ever been in my whole life! And I started my own lawn maintenance company making 100k a year and growing and it's completely life changing.

We all fail to realize, time is the only valuable thing in our life, everything else comes and goes. Yet, we are so used to the notion of trading our time for money, or spending massive amounts of time online searching for coupon codes to save us a few dollars. If we treat time like gold much more valuable than the currency of our location then we might stop procrastination or wasting our time on things/people that doesn't deserve it. Concept of time always fascinates me, and just recently watched the movie LUCY where there was a quote "time is the only true unit of measure, without time, we don't exist"

This video remains me to the quote that says "time is gold" literally time is a precious thing that we have to aproach the most, no matter your condition nor your financial state, you have to take the bull by the horns literally and do things with cold mind and focus... i use to live in a desfuncional home with an alcoholic step dad and a mother with suicidal tendencies who tried to kill herself about 3 times, at 17 leave home to take my way and today i got a 3 yo daugther and the next year im starting a degree in bank and finance in my country and thats all because a take the worst decisions and learn all the wisdom that brings the bad times... is just a matter of not win or lose... is matter of learn, learn a lot and do your best with the weapons you have 😎😎🤟

Time is not linear and we are not meant to live life knowing when we expire. There are things that we are meant to take for granted so that we can grow on a deeper more consciously aware level. Most people aren’t wasting their time (whatever time really means) they are creating a journey of experiences and perceptions. Life isn’t meant to be embraced everyday like tomorrow could be our last. It is meant for us to explore these experiences in a multitude of emotions, states and speeds. Nothing is wasted, including our time.

Time is a concept we are unable to grasp until it is often to late. Nothing is a waste but that doesn't mean there are not better uses For example engaging in something fruitless still has it's purpose as an experience and form of weak solace but there are better uses for time. This however does not mean the aforementioned task useless but should be managed and replaced according to hindsight

i struggle with reconciliating the fact that it is probable that i might die tomorrow and the fact that it is also probable that i might not. one has to do things that dont bring instant gratification because big goals take time... though if we this to the extreme we end up with a workaholic-like mentality and dont actually enjoy life on the other end, 'living in the moment' might also be pernicious: just doing what pleases u right now may result in a frivolous life, no accomplishments, no actual substance but the superfluous how have you guys dealt with this? surely it'll be interesting to hear different methods
