Life Is Pointless?

What are we even here for? Most of us start school at a young age and learn many useless things for an x amount of years and possibly go to college to get some piece of paper (a degree) to get a job to make money (paper) just to be alive. No matter what you do or what your accomplishments are we all die one day. No one asked to be here yet here we are. This existence is pathetic. I’m a bit anxious whether or not there’s an afterlife. I made this video to express my raw emotions at the time. I didn’t expect this video to get any views. I’m glad I found people that (probably) feel a similar way. Now that I know I have a few viewers, I’ll post more content. Edit: Some of you said you disagreed with me about the education part but you fail to realize that I was talking about useless things that are being taught in the education system such as history from a long time ago. Things that you can apply in every day life such as finances or cooking should be standard to be taught since more people than you think know little to nothing about taxes and prepping their own food. At no point did I say that the education system is dysfunctional. It just needs to be changed.

It's refreshing to hear out loud what's going inside my mind. I graduated yesterday, and I've no idea what I'm gonna do, and my mom's just forcing me to go out and work. I relate alot to you actually especially about money. I believe we should live in a system based on bartering. One would think learning the accomplishments of old dead men would help us to be courageous as they were. Learning history is important to not repeat the same mistakes but unfortunately most people don't learn and they must learn the hard way. As we can see we don't exist in a society that has real leaders leading the forefront. Most people are weak, spineless. And this nihilism and fear of death (the unknown) is what keeps people from living life to the fullest, challenging authority and standing up for themselves in the face of tyranny rather than just obeying because somebody with a bit of power told you to do so. "Life is what you make it" is true, corny as it may be. You can either live a life based on the idea that nothing matters and all is hopeless, or you can find purpose perhaps in your own abilities or gifts. Simply enjoying life for what it is and living in the moment. The human experience is a complex one. We laugh, we cry, we have friendships, we live and then we die. Just as the birds, the plants and every other life form on the planet. The point is to simply BE. Perhaps try listening to Alan Watts. Life is a dance!

Life can feel pointless i guess is becuase we think it's pointless, if we put meaning into our life or sense of importance to the things we do, then we will feel like there is purpose. Life is far much bigger and important than a job, politics, money, relationships, divorce, fights. It's life and it's what we do that defines life, our choices, our behavior, our feelings life is independent and complex from all the bs that us humans create but also the great things that humans create, since both exist.

I have trouble sleeping, and frequently drift into similar sentiments - scarily similarly actually, almost to the word in some cases. However, I’ve had time to think about the answer. While we’re taking the nihilistic, and most probably ‘correct’ assumption, to be true (everything is meaningless - there is no meaning to life), we can use it to derive solace. Namely, having lived is better than to have never existed. Assuming a relatively pain free life, given our biology, we have the opportunity for happiness and fulfilment. Being successful at something you try, falling in love, making the world a better place, helping those in need; if we would have never been born, these opportunities are obviously impossible. Experiencing these euphoric highs and getting the most out of life makes life worth living. Consequently, to not ‘fail’ at life, I always try to live life to the full, and I implore you to do the same. I know the idea of death is terrifying - it is for me too - but I feel the gift of life is being able to feel something greater than neutrality, and is really the best thing we can strive for.

I understand but my belief is different. We all have lived before in the past, different timelines. I believe in reincarnation and past lives. The reason we don't remember is because each time ee incarnate in this matrix, the memories are wiped away for our new life and our new abatar aka human body. But some children if you ask them who they were in the past, they would tell you, ask a child under the age of six or seven. Because after age seven past life memories fade.
