We listen to her stories and life lessons from humble beginnings in a newly established town to an exploding region in the southwest. Her positive outlook on life was nothing short of refreshing and we learned quite a bit from our conversation!

Located in northeastern Arizona, Page is known for being a most excellent base camp for exploring nearby outdoor attractions, including Lake Powell and the surrounding Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument and Monument Valley. Founded in 1957 as a housing site for workers building the Glen Canyon Dam - which formed Lake Powell - the town has blossomed into a visitor-friendly community. After a full day of hiking, boating, golfing, biking, off-roading or simply Page sightseeing, the town offers creature comforts like nationally branded hotels, small inns, short-term rentals, RV parks and glamping. Places to eat in Page run the gamut from casual brewpubs and Mexican eateries to fine dining with panoramic views of Lake Powell.

Thank you Mrs. Hatch! My 5th grade teacher 1984. Mrs. Hatch's Hatchery, Sunship Earth and I even got to go on a few hikes. I never knew Mrs Hatch was still in Page. Amazing teacher and person.

My family was blessed to live in Page and taught by this amazing lady. My dad moved there to build the dam. 5 of 7 kids were born in Page. What a great interview. Love you Ada Hatch!!

I lived in Page Arizona in 72 and 73 when I was 12 and 13 years old. My dad was welding pipe building the power plant. I might have been in her class if she was teaching the 7th graders.. I do remember the principal since I got in two bad fist fights my first day there. That's just how it was back in those days. The new kid had to prove himself against the school bullies or he'd never have any peace. The principal didn't like me much, but I ended up being good friends with the two biggest bullies after I kicked their asses that morning. We went on to playing football together and were undefeated that year. I still remember that Randy Rountree and Pat Devores were their names. My family and I used to spend the weekends on Lake Powell and the Colorado River fishing, boating and camping and touring the Grand Canyon. We moved around the country following pipelines and construction jobs. I really enjoyed living in Page Arizona more than most of the other many places though the years.. It's nice to flashback and reflect on the good times in life..🍷😎👌

I was fortunate to grow up in Page and my mother taught with Ada. What a terrific person and an inspiration to everyone in Page. If you don't know Ada, then you're not from Page. 😁
