I liked 'That Christmas.' At first, I was I don't know but I like how the movie mentioned Christmas being an emotional magnifier at Christmas. "When you're surround by love at Christmas it's 10 times greater but if you're lonely at Christmas that is magnified too." And " After Christmas most people just go back to the way they were. Christmas can't fix everyone's' problems, it's up to people to fix their problems themselves." Also, I liked how Santa and the glamour of Christmas was more in the background. The movie focused on the relationships the kids had with the parents and each other. And the simplicity of just being together.

I kind of got 'The Grinch' in the Jim Carey version he wasn't a monster but I guest made to be an outcast of how he was treated because he wasn't. Same with 'A Christmas Carol.' Ebeneezer wasn't born a cold uncaring miser. His dad pretty much disowned him sending to a boarding school because he blamed his son for ending his wife in child birth. Also, the same would happen with Scrooge's sister Fan when she gave birth to his only nephew. And Scrooge was eventually left Fezzywig's to be apprenticed by a money grubbing entrepreneur. Therefore, most people aren't born monsters but can end up becoming one due to a set of unfortunate events.
