Straight up. I feel the same way. I grew up playing their games and I was addicted. I still have the Monkey Island soundtracks and still listen to them cuz the music was awesome. Brings back sooo many good memories.

The lego games, Episode 1 racer, Episode 3, Masters of Teräs Käsi, Force Unleashed (1 &2).........these were some pretty badass games. happy to have been able to play them and have some fun in my childhood.

Actually, Lucasarts took a pretty strong standpoint in 2004 that they weren't interested in making adventure games when they suddenly canceled Sam & Max: Freelance Police despite that the project was coming along beautifully. Many of the developers we associate to the LucasArts classics formed their own company - Telltale Games. IIRC, when Steve Purcell wanted to continue Sam & Max under Telltale, LucasArts didn't even let him use assets from the game they canceled.

So many games. So many adventures. They were the best. It saddens me that I may never play another adventure on Monkey Island.

It's weird hearing them with sound. Or at least while they're talking :P. Our computer was either too shit, the sound just decided it wouldn't work or we didn't see the need for speakers in them days. Man i'm feeling old before my prime.

I had a Mac Performa & these were the only games at my college that let a guy on a Mac play games. I loved Maniac Mansion, Sam & Max & Full Throttle. What saddens me about the whole Lucasarts thing is George set them all up. He smiled, took $4 billion, made that deal not caring that others who worked for him will be ok after he left, many in their 50's. And for that, I don't respect him anymore nor do I consider George Lucas to be anyone of value anymore - at least in my heart.

Sure it's sad that LucasArts had to go, but when you really think about it, they haven't really done anything worthwhile in a decade or so. They were a relic from an age long gone.
