This video really helped thanks for letting us know it’ll automatically adjust with the collaborative percentage entreated. I marked it 50/50 this is my first split so I’ll have to go back and split my old songs with features on them. Thanks 🙏🏾

Hey bro thanks for this video. Would I create splits as im uploading a song or do I upload first, and then create the splits? Thanks again

Really hope you answer! How do you split songs if there’s different splits on the writing side and master side? There’s no option to split master shares. Any help would be much appreciated!

"What is not clear to me is this: I did the professional package with tunecore and completed the split with other collaborators within this account. I then sent the collaborators an email, But tunecore send them an email also asking them pay £6.99. Then the collaborators called me, questioning why they should pay when they only collaborated with me, plus thier distributor is not tunecore .They suggested that, if anything, I should be paying them and not them paying £6.99 to tunecore. My question is, what is the £6.99 for for those collaborators who don't have an account with TuneCore? or am i missing something?"

I am also a bit miffed by this! I just had to pay 6.99 which will be a recurring fee yearly to receive Tunecore splits (who are also not my main distributor). Seems a bit funky to have to pay a subscription fee to receive royalties. Soundrop and Distrokid don't do this.

So we have to still pay the publishing service at $70 to be able to collect payment?

Long time over due, I actually started work on this process in the mid 00's, but got shelved as was going to be "too expensive" to develop. This should be on bandcamp? what are they doing

Do I have to have a Tunecore account to be a collaborator on someone’s song?
@ZachWirchak Жыл бұрын
You do. Then you'll receive your royalties via your Tunecore account.

That percentage is whats call in the industry as "Points" right? The publishing percentage is something different ?
