I tell you what I been seeing a bunch of truck stops that are putting up signs saying they don’t have hot water now I’m going to get a hotel room if it’s that serious and I’m washing my clothes too because I seen a bunch of truck stops saying they washers don’t work !!!! The security at Florida rest stops was precipitated by the murder of a British tourist and injury of his companion at a rest stop on I-10 in Jefferson County east of Tallahassee in October of 1993. This was the final straw for the governor after a series of tourist assaults and killings in Florida around that time.

You have to have a portable shower kit. I'm sure you can even get a water heater . I went over 40 days without a shower during the invasion of Iraq. Baby wipes and a canteen and a travel bottle of pert plus .

First off...thank you for your service!!! We are very grateful for courageous people like you! And secondly, forty days without a shower. In the desert. Wow! That's a long time. The portable shower is an interesting idea, but truthfully the longest we've had to wait was 3-4 days. And that's pretty tame compared to your 40. Also, Kevin uses alcohol and paper towels for a wipe down when needed. We also like to quote some Western Kevin watched..."You take a bath once a year. Whether you need it or not." LOL!

During our RV days we met another RVer in a wheelchair who had his rig set up with a lift for getting in. He gave us a tour. It was pretty nice how it had been modified.

I remember when trucking was actually a really really difficult job I mean it's still pretty difficult and can be very draining but it's pretty wild that CDL licenses soon are going to be one of the easiest things to achieve especially now that most rigs are fully automatic and fully decked out and does electronics in his all buttons and labeled a blind man can almost drive one

It's an idea. But we generally find a shower within a day or two. Just not always when we want it. Longest we've gone is 3-4 days and then Kevin uses wipes.

A tip for you me being a trucker just recently started but I'm on the road constantly I ended up buying a portable shower it was one of the best things I did you can find them obviously online but a lot of camping stores carry them

Hey there! Yes! Still getting the miles. Sometimes have to work with asset manager when loads don’t use HOS productively. But that’s not a problem. He works to find a better load or change appointment times or even splits the load. The pre-plans aren’t coming as fast as before. But compared to a lot of places it seems things are still pretty good here. Didn’t understand your comment about your wife and OTR. Please elaborate if there’s a question I didn’t understand. 😃

I been a Driver for 25 years and my wife finally after all that time has just been able to go with me OTR . This will be here 5th trip with me. I have been running the 40fwy for the past 15 years. So the chances for us to cross paths is remote. But I say you never know
