Simple and practical smoker even though it took some time to build. I was thinking the same thing about the boughs but your solution works great. Hope it does the trick, preserved meat will be a blessing. Thanks for the video. Stay safe out there, see ya soon.

Nice video, Kusk. I really enjoyed the storm, and glad you captured the essence of it. Great feature for intermission. One thing I admire about you is your resourcefulness. That's what separates the men from the boys. Keep the series coming - this is a good trip!

Great little project video, was a little surprised to see you built so close to camp. Like when you processed the beavers, I would have thought, smoking the meat would be something you would want to do away from your camp in case of animals. Glad the tent is working out so well, looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the wood stove you have.

For non-structural tripods I just do a loose turn or two with the cordage around the three poles, then spin the middle pole around the cord axis one time. It would be plenty strong for that application. I hated to see you cut up that nice canvas bag, but you do what you gotta do.

Nice smoker... I'll be interested to see how effective it is. Now that you've been in the conical tent for a while, how do you like it versus the open front tarps? It would be great to see a video comparing and contrasting the two based on your experience with both... just my two cents. Great channel, I'm fairly addicted to it. It my kind of pastime. Peace to you from Alaska.

Strange question, would it be more economical to cut divets in the outer beams for the cross sections of the rack instead of using a piece of twine for each one? Or would structural integrity be a concern with the added weight of the meat? Thinking along the lines of a long term setup.
