Not fair, you in the wild enjoying nature hunting, trapping etc., smoking meat, making jerky, eating said jerky in front of us while we're stuck in civilized areas...come on man! You really know how to rub it in and I'm not talking about jerky seasoning either... Of course I'm kidding, glad you're sustaining in the wild as it should be, so far I'd say success in the endeavor. Great work and determination on display. Much appreciated, thanks.

You are a man beyond his years! While I can't ask that all young people live in the woods, I do wish for them to learn how the earth is life's true mother and we need to learn from her and respect her. Keep it up, I love watching.

😂First off sir, step away from the smoked meat, you are clearly one of those cooks who likes to sample while cooking! That shot of your campsite at the 5:19 mark was just perfect with the smoker working away and the smoke drifting past the tent. Have to say again, I am really enjoying this series, and looking forward to the next instalment!

I'm really enjoying this series, your nailing it Ryley, well done and thank you 👍 Funnily enough, as I'm watching you, I'm cold smoking a pheasant, a duck, three quails, a chunk of salmon and a trout in apple wood ready for Christmas ! 🤗😋 Beaver sounds good but in the south of France ? ! , i wish 😂 Congratulations on passing the 1/2 a mill, you deserve it 👍

I am not sure if it is an option, or perhaps you have already considered it. I would have thought a Coypu would be pretty similar to a beaver, if you could get some meat from one for a test smoking. Is that even allowed in France or in your area of the country?

Love your videos a great deal and I have learned a lot. One question - are you not in bear country? If so I would be worried about all that smoked meat smell in and around the tent, especially when asleeo inside at night.

Smoking meat is an ancient preservation method that also imparts unique flavors. Here’s how the process works: 1. **Preparation**: The meat is often seasoned or brined before smoking to enhance flavor and aid in preservation. 2. **The Smoking Process**: - **Heat Source**: A fire is built using hardwoods like hickory, oak, or applewood, which produce smoke as they burn. The type of wood used can influence the flavor of the meat. - **Smoking Chamber**: The meat is placed in a smoker, which can be a specialized structure or a makeshift setup, where it is exposed to the smoke but not direct flames. - **Low and Slow**: The meat is cooked slowly at a low temperature, typically between 200-250°F (93-121°C). This slow cooking process allows the smoke to penetrate the meat deeply. 3. **How Smoke Affects Meat**: - **Flavor**: Smoke contains various compounds that adhere to the surface of the meat, giving it a distinct smoky flavor. - **Preservation**: The smoke helps to dry out the surface of the meat, reducing moisture and creating an environment less conducive to bacterial growth. - **Texture**: Smoking can tenderize the meat, making it more enjoyable to eat. 4. **Completion**: Once the smoking process is finished, the meat can be consumed immediately or stored for later use. Smoked meat has a longer shelf life compared to fresh meat due to the preservation effects of the smoke. Smoking meat not only enhances its flavor but also helps preserve it, making it a valuable technique for hunters and anyone needing to manage a large quantity of meat.

I've been curious (with this series in particular). Do you have to abandon camp to edit and upload? Or was this all one experience that you've filmed and are releasing in a series? Or something else perhaps? Love your content btw.
