Can be true for your course, but in my course (History Courses) if you write the same line (without reference) my teachers will call it plagiarism and will definitely deduct marks...They will also deduct marks if you write their lectures line-by-line....In fact one of my history teacher asked a student to write her research article again because she had copied some things from somewhere....two students failed in internals...and there was another teacher who deducted and failed some students for using senior's notes...and our university topper...cannot score more than 70%....Yes, I'm talking about University topper....Only interested and serious students can earn first division if they are doing major in history....You can score well in graduation...but still getting 70% is really tough and if you are a postgraduate student...then not every student gets first division... University topper from my batch had scored 65.68 percent... Scoring 90+ in history in school is easy but in college, you have to be sincere and have to work hard if you want to score above 65%...and you can't score just on the basis of memorising facts...It's more about analysing than memorising....and you have to use your own words for interpretation not other's....

indeed its different... however presentation is commonly spoken instead of ppt but written should be accurate

The generic acceptance here is of the notion that all the PPTs are presentations but not all presentations are PPTs. Cross-culture shocks are evident within the Indians too.

I Suck at memorising! I never did it anyways except formula or laws which can't be changed other than that one can grasp the concept n write it in their way. Of course, main points should be there.. That's not memorising i guess!
@bharathnaidukurimineni44314 жыл бұрын
Not really,I write semester exams on my own ,that is what I know about the question qiven,so mainly it depends on us, however, there is need to use terminology and scientific terms more frequently in exam if u really want to be topper , and many universities encouraging understanding and learning, but I can say the bitter truth is many secondary schools just pressuring student s to get overall best grades for that school so they just feed their minds with huge information,the result is lack of creativity as there is no time to think ,so they memorize and paste it in on paper,and those schools will get better grades and profits, that s y the education system have been ruining though many students works relentlessly on studies than in any country, despite this thing,in recent we have been making good changes in education system ,I m sure it will make a huge difference .
