Between the ice, fear and panick, a teen probably could fall, but to lay limp without trying to get up. If mammoths are anything like elephants they're mean and smart. Elephants know they're bigger. A pride of elephants is charging that group of lions

spelaea*better know as the erosion cave lion* and had a relatively longer and narrower muzzle compared to that of the fellow extinct and modern lion.Despite this, the 3 species don't exhibit major differences in morphology.Like modern lions of Africa the females were smaller than males. In 2016 a hair found near the Maly Anyuy River was identified as cave lion hair through DNA analysis and is 100%match to African lions and sabortooths. And lions of today can bring down the african elephant so it makes sense that cave lions can bring down a mammoth.cave lions lived in various environments from the steppe to the mountains to what is now alaska and yellowstone.as top predator the cave lions hunted large herbivores to keep there population in a healthy number witch include animals like the famous woolly mammoth, bison and horses,as well the occasional cave bear. The regular presence of cave lion bones in Ice Age caves is responsible for how they got there iconic name, and scientist are now able to bring mammoths along with cave lions, smilodon/sabortooths,Terror birds, wooly rhino, giant sloth and all the ice age animals back to life in 2027. Which weed did animators smoke while making this? No way a lone cave lion can bring down a young mammoth of that size this effortlessly. It literally just pulled the mammoth a little and made it fall. Carnivores weren't some entities with supernatural strength. Just look at today's Lions trying to tackle down a baby elephant and how much time it takes to do it. It would had been more accurate if all the members of the pride took that mammoth down together.

There’s two species of cave lion, the American cave lion (Panthera atrox) and the Eurasian cave lion (Panthera spelaea). On its heyday, the Eurasian cave lion could hunt large game like reindeer across Europe, Asia and even North America, thanks to the land bridge. The American cave lion prefers the same biomes as its African cousins: spacious savannas and grasslands.
