In reality, you may have power to change some things to some extent, but there are external situations that cannot always be averted. To say the life you have is the life you want may empower some, but may unjustly condemn others, blaming them for things beyond their control.

Absolutely true. YHWH has put me in a desert, of a sort. I don't literally live in a desert. However, I'm here in this lonely place for this reason: so that I will learn to not be lonely. I've just recently discovered this. It's true that quite often, I'm never more lonely than when I'm with certain people. YHWH is teaching me how to be my best company. I doubt this would be accomplished any other way. The "life that you want" sounds a bit "new age".

What a beautiful video! I was in 12 step programs years ago and an incredibly well spoken man named George would voice the most pithy, cut to the chase sayings. One that I mounted above my bed so that I saw it as I woke up and fell asleep is "I'm not a victim, I'm a volunteer". I really believe that one saying has kept me from some really bad paths. I love your Orthodox videos.

Thanks Dave, great advice. If you never stop trying to better your life you will not fail. Never, never, never stop trying. A seed does produce fruit the day you plant it. Your brother in Christ.

I don't want my life that I have now.... I thought I could get out of Northern Utah and go back to California where I use to be. It's the lack of money....every time I save up my money...I HAD to use my money for something else...like another car & spending money on things like Drs & Dentists. It's so hard to get what I want. My friends in California are mad because it got very expensive to live there anymore. Some of them HAD to move to Arizona.☹ Finding extra money is so hard. I'm a senior now and I pray that I can find a miracle. 🙏🏻💌 I want to go back to my church in OrangeCo

@@DaveBartosiewicz Hi Dave! Thank you for replying my story. I've been watching you for years! I never met a Mormon before I came here to Utah... it is so different here! I've lived in Calif. for over 47yrs & I lived in Hawaii for 3yrs. I'm 68 and I take good care of myself. I'm a Born Again Christian since 1972. 👱🏻♀️ I sure miss the ocean... I use to do Boogie boarding. Strange to me not to have no palm trees around here.🌴 🤷🏼♀️ Have you been to OrangeCo? I lived in Anaheim for many years and I was at the grand opening of Disneyland in 1955. And it's strange to me to be in cold snow with the Mormons now. 😆 LOL

Yes I had a homecare company in Orange County for a few years. I live in St. George and we have palm trees. You should move down here. I retired here 3 years ago. If you want to visit, I can show you around. I am also a real estate agent here.

It’s tough. I am a 39 year old mother and wife and lost my dental assisting job due to Covid 2 years ago. It’s not that I can’t work because I’ve worked my whole life and worked 11 years as a dental assistant before losing my job. I’ve had to go to unemployment which I’ve never done before. Christmas was very hard and times are tougher than I ever thought but we’re trying to make it. Ultimately my family will make it though this, but it’s a journey. I appreciate your kind words. I can relate to what you’re saying. Life is so hard sometimes but we have to have the drive to make it through and achieve what we want in the end! God bless😊🙏❤️

That's toxic. I don't like being poor. Saying people who financially suffer want that life is worng. Maybe some di, but not the majority. What about single mothers who work hard and still struggle? This is toxic.

A lot of people are just lazy or scared to start something new, many circumstances can make a change hard and have lead that person to a bad situation. not everyone can just change their life.
